[:en]Right in front of me on top of my desk is a wedding invitation for my brother and his future wife with the words “Our Adventure begins”. I love that way of looking at life. When we think of Adventure we think of new experiences, exploring something, but also taking risks. With a great adventure, you never know what comes next. But most of the time we would have some kind of guide who can lead us on this adventure. As an example, if you go White River rafting you probably will go with someone who is experienced and not just by yourself in your own little rubber boat.

Life as a follower of Jesus is an Adventure, but the great thing about that is that we also have a guide with us. God leads us along the way and is always with us. He knows totally what’s best for us along the way of that adventure. I was recently reading through the books of 1. Kings and you can see different outcomes when the kings went on their Adventure with God or without him. When they went with him He was guiding them along the way, gave them the right perspective and also the courage to do the right thing. If they walked by themselves, usually things didn’t work out well for them.

So going on an adventure always requires a good guide and God wants to be that guide for each one of us. Yes, Adventures can be challenging and sometimes scary, but with the right guide at your side things will work out better. Because you know He’s got things! Going down that White River and seeing the waves left and right can really bring fear, but with the guide in the front of the boat giving instructions and leading, it can be a lot of fun.

We want to encourage you to let God guide you in your Adventure. You will have an exciting journey ahead, but also someone who is with you when things don’t look as good.

Labor Day is here and also the time of our last big barbecue for this year. Its sad that it is the last one for this season, but in the same way we are really excited to spend time with our neighbor friends. Make sure to invite some new people to your barbecue it is always exciting!!

But sadly life can’t be just barbecues; sometimes we also have to do office work. But we got a lot of stuff done this week. And it feels good too when you can see immediate results.

We hope you had a good week too and want to wish you an amazing one for this coming one! Let God guide you into your own Adventure with Him!!

Markus and Jen[:de]Direkt vor mir auf meinem Schreibtisch steht eine Hochzeitseinladung von meinem Bruder und seiner zukünftigen Frau mit den Worten „Our Adventuer begins“ Unser Abenteuer beginnt. Ich liebe diese Art auf das Leben zu schauen. Wenn wir an Abenteuer denken, denken wir z.B. an neue Erlebnisse, etwas neues erforschen aber auch an Risiko. Mit einem großen Abenteuer weißt du nie was als nächstes kommt. Aber meistens haben wir jemanden der uns auf diesem Abenteuer leiten kann. Wenn du z.B.  Wildwasserrafting gehst wirst du mit jemandem gehen der sich auskennt und nicht alleine in deinem Gummiboot.

Unser Leben als Nachfolger Jesus ist ein Abenteuer, aber das geniale ist das wir einen haben der uns leitet. Gott leitet uns auf dem Weg und ist immer bei uns. Er weiß genau was am besten für uns ist auf diesem Abenteuer Leben. Vor kurzem lass ich durch das Buch 1. Könige und du siehst unterschiedliche Resultate wenn sie mit oder ohne Gott auf die Abenteuer gingen. Wenn sie mit Ihm gingen leitete Er sie, gab die richtige Perspektive und auch den Mut und die Courage das richtige zu tun. Wenn sie alleine unterwegs waren, verliefen die Dinge nicht so gut für sie.

Ein gutes Abenteuer braucht immer einen guten Leiter, und Gott möchte dieser Leiter für jeden von uns sein. Ja Abenteuer können manchmal unheimlich sein und herausfordern, aber mit dem richtigen Leiter an deiner Seite klappt alles besser weil du weißt das Er alles in seiner Hand hat! Wenn du beim Wildwasserrafting rechts und links Wellen und Felsen siehst kann dies schon Angst machen, aber mit dem Leiter vorne im Boot der Instruktionen gibt und den Weg zeigt, kann es viel Spaß machen.

Wir wollen dich ermutigen dich von Gott in ein Abenteuer leiten zu lassen. Du hast eine spannende Reise vor dir, aber auch jemanden der bei dir ist wenn alles nicht so gut aussieht.

Hallo unser Freund/in

Labor Day (Tag der Arbeit ist hier Anfang September) war der letzte große Grill Feiertag für dieses Jahr. Es ist traurig das es der letzte für dieses Jahr ist, aber auf der anderen Seite freuen wir uns auch darauf ihn mit Nachbarn zu verbringen. Falls du noch ein Grillfest hast, lade doch deine Nachbarn dazu ein!! Es ist immer ein guter Weg tiefere Beziehungen aufzubauen.

Aber trauriger Weise kann das Leben nicht nur aus Grillen bestehen, manchmal muss man auch im Buero arbeiten. Aber das Gute daran ist, das man mit Buero Arbeit oftmals sofort Resultate sieht und das ist auch ein gutes Gefühl!

Wir hoffen das du eine super Woche hattest und das die kommende noch besser wird!! Lass dich von Gott in ein Abenteuer leiten!
