Hey our friend

Happy second June week!! We hope it was a good one for you!! After we got back from PA, we had a wonderful week in SF with the Seniors, the youth and everyone in between. On Saturday we had another meeting with a friend who we help to get involved in his neighborhood and to reach out to that community. God keeps spreading the idea to more and more places and inspires people to take Jesus command to love our neighbor serious. Its exciting!

Jen and I are doing well too!! We got to go on a date together which was awesome!!

We wish you a blessed week and remember both are important to find community and to bring community!

Hallo unser Freund/in

Wir hoffen deine 2. Juni Woche war super! Nachdem wir von Pennsylvania zurückgekommen sind , hatten wir eine wunderbare Woche mit den Senioren, den Kinder und allen dazwischen drin. Am Samstag hatten wir ein weiteres treffen mit einem Freund der seine Wohngegend erreichen möchte und Jesus zu zeigen. Gott verbreitet die Idee an viele weiter Plätze und inspiriert Menschen Jesus Auftrag ernst zu nehmen unseren nächsten Nachbarn zu lieben. Es ist so super!!

Jen und mir geht es auch gut. Wir konnten diese Woche mal wieder auf ein Date gehen was super war!

Wir wünschen dir eine gesegnete Woche und vergiss nicht Gemeinschaft zu finden und Gemeinschaft zu bringen!

The more easily you get to wealth, the less good it will do you. Proverbs 20.21 (GNB)

San Francisco and the bay area are a place where many people try to find quick riches. That is not a new thing. Long time ago we had the Gold rush, were people from all over left everything behind to come because they were hoping for an instant gratification and riches. That rush for instant riches stayed in the bay area to this day. People tried it through the .com boom in the late 90s and today through the whole startup world. Yes there were people that made it quickly, but many times with the riches came big problems. People didn’t know how to deal with all the money and spend it on things that were just bad for them. But so often we long for that instant gratification and that easy way of getting to it. But if we miss the process it is often bad for us. Another example is lottery winners. Many of them end up broke and worse off than they were before since they were not ready for the instant gratification.

Lets look at David and his life. David was young when he was promised to be king. But then it took many years of being under the current King, persecuted by the King and living in the land of the enemy. He definitely didn’t have an instant gratification. But in all those years he learned perseverance, grace and many other things that he needed to be a good King. So when he became King he was ready and he was ready to lead well. You see a bad example of that in the story of the prodigal son. He asked his father for his inheritance and he got his instant gratification. But he was not prepared on how to spend the money or how to deal with it, so in a short amount of time he spend it all and all his riches were gone. 2 very different examples but they show the point well.  So it is very important to walk out the process whatever we do in life. God wants to teach us something along the way so we are ready when we hit the next level.

Why do we share all this with you? Because it is a very important for loving our neighbor and build deep friendships. When we invest in relationships with our neighbor we don’t get an instant gratification. It takes a long time to get connected and to go deeper with each other. But those long-term friendships are the ones that last and are deep. If you have a friendship with someone for many many years a little disagreement won’t break it.

We want to encourage you in this Christmas season to build lasting and long-term relationships like the one the father wants to have with us. Ones that don’t have instant gratification, but have long-term depth. You will see how much it will bless your life!!!

We hope you had an amazing week! Christmas is approaching fast!! Don’t forget to involve your neighbors into this time!! We had so many Christmas related things going on in the last week and were so blessed through them. We had a neighborhood Christmas party, a ywam fundraiser Christmas party and all our normal weekly things. We also had a baking time to bake some wonderful Christmas treat for our beloved neighbors, and give them a Christmas card. Many have been blessed through it including us. Its so simple but makes such a huge difference and shows that you love people. You can do that too!!!

So don’t forget its not about instant gratification, but its about the process in life and relationships!

Je einfacher du zu Reichtum kommst, je weniger wird es dir Gutes tun. Sprüche 20.21

San Francisco und das umliegende Bay Area sind ein Ort wo viele nach schnellem Reichtum oder Resultaten suchen. Dies ist nichts Neues. Vor langer Zeit war es der Goldrausch der viele Menschen aufbrechen lies und alles zurückzulassen in der Hoffnung des schnellen Reichtums und Zufriedenheit. Dieses rennen nach schnellem Reichtum blieb bis in die heutige Zeit hier. In den 90er und Anfang der 2000 war es durch den .com Boom und heute sieht man es in den vielen Startups. Ja es gab viele Leute die es schnell erreicht haben, aber mit dem Geld kamen dann auch die Probleme. Viele wussten nicht wie sie mit dem Geld umgehen sollten und gaben es für die Dinge aus die schlecht für sie waren. Aber so oft suchen wir nach dieser direkten Befriedigung und einen einfachen Weg sie zu bekommen. Aber wenn wir die wichtigen Zwischenschritte verpassen ist es oft schlecht für uns. Viele Lotterie Gewinner haben am Ende gar nichts oder es geht ihnen schlechter als zuvor!

Schauen wir uns mal David an. David bekam als junger Mann die Zusage König zu sein. Aber dann dauerte es viele Jahre in denen er dem jetzigen König diente, von diesem verfolgt wurde und im Land der Feinde leben musste. Er bekam definitiv nicht sofort das was gesagt wurde. Aber in all diesen Jahren des Wartens lernte er Ausdauer, Gnade und vieles mehr was er brauchte um ein guter König zu sein. Als er dann König wurde war er bereit zu leiten. Im Gegensatz dazu sehen wir den verlorenen Sohn. Er fragte seinen Vater nach seinem Erbe und er bekam es und damit seine sofortige Antwort. Aber er war nicht bereit für das Erbe und gab es innerhalb kürzester Zeit aus und er war pleite. 2 verschiedene Beispiele aber sie zeigen wieso die Zwischenschritte so wichtig sind. Es ist wichtig das wir den gesamten Weg gehen mit allem was wir im Leben tun. Gott möchte uns in jedem Teil etwas lehren so dass wir bereit sind wenn wir an die nächste Stelle kommen.

Wieso erzählen wir dir dies? Weil es sehr wichtig ist für das lieben unserer Nachbarn und für tiefgehendere Freundschaften. Wenn wir in Freundschaften mit unseren Nachbarn investieren bekommen wir nicht immer ein sofortiges Resultat. Aber es braucht einige Zeit bis tiefgehende Beziehungen entstehen können. Wenn du eine Freundschaft mit jemandem über viele Jahre hast wird diese nicht wegen einer kleinen Uneinigkeit zerstört.

Wir möchten dich in dieser Weihnachtszeit ermutigen mehr Langzeit Beziehungen aufzubauen solche wie unser Vater im Himmel sie mit uns haben möchte. Welche die nicht auf sofortige Resultate aufgebaut sind sondern auf Langzeit und Tiefe. Du wirst sehen was es für ein Segen für dich ist!

Hallo unser Freund/in

Wir hoffen du hattest eine Super Woche!! Weihnachten kommt schnell auf uns zu!! Vergiss nicht deine Nachbarn zu etwas einzuladen!! Wir hatten in der letzten Woche so viele Weihnachtsdinge und wir waren so gesegnet durch sie. Wir hatten eine Wohngegend Weihnachtsfeier, eine YWAM Weihnachts Spenden Gala und auch all unsere normalen Wochen Dinge. Wir hatten auch eine Back Zeit in der wir für unsere wunderbaren  Nachbarn gebacken haben und ihnen dann das gebackene als auch eine Weihnachtskarte gegeben habe. Viele wurden dadurch gesegnet inklusive uns! Es war einfach machte aber einen Großen Unterschied!! Du kannst dies auch tun!!

Vergiss nicht es geht nicht nur um ein direktes Resultat im leben und Beziehungen, aber es geht um den Weg!
