When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is sing Christmas carols with neighbors at a nursing home or senior center! Watch the video with some tips on that!

First of all we want to wish you a happy and blessed first of Advent week!! The first candle symbolizes hope which is something so important in every area of our life. Spend some time this week to think about true hope only God can bring.

If I would have to title this week I would call it the week of the meetings. All of the meetings were good and productive which is wonderful. I really love those times to be able to help others but also get help and advice from others. It is such a blessing to walk with others and also see all the different giftings God gave each of them and us in use.

Also as mentioned in our monthly love your neigh or tip, lets bring some joy this Christmas season by singing Christmas carols with neighbors at a nursing home or senior center

Hallo Freunde

Zuerst wünschen wir dir eine schöne und gesegnete erste Adventswoche!! Die erste Kerze symbolisiert Hoffnung, die in jedem Bereich unseres Lebens so wichtig ist. Nehmen dir diese Woche etwas Zeit, um über die wahre Hoffnung nachzudenken, die nur Gott bringen kann.

Wenn ich diese Woche einen Titel nennen müsste, würde ich sie die Woche der Meetings nennen. Alle Meetings waren gut und produktiv, was wunderbar ist. Ich liebe diese Zeiten in denen ich anderen helfen kann, aber auch Hilfe und Rat von anderen bekomme. Es ist ein großer Segen, mit anderen zu gehen und auch zu sehen, wie all die unterschiedlichen Gaben, die Gott ihnen und uns gegeben hat, zusammen in Gebrauch sind.

How are you?

Caleb and I sadly had some health setbacks this week and didn’t recover fully yet as we hoped for. The sickness seems to really hold on and not wanting to leave. Please keep praying with us for its soon departure!  I was able to keep working on things from bed and could join meetings also that way which was a blessing. Jen has been the best nurse for both of us during that time.

I don’t know if you saw the blog we wrote a wall ago or heard but the Founder of YWAM Loren Cunningham passed away at the beginning of October. Last night they had a beautiful Celebration of life for him that was so encouraging and inspiring. Wie geht es dir?

Caleb und ich hatten diese Woche leider einige gesundheitliche Rückschläge und haben uns noch nicht vollständig erholt, wie wir es uns erhofft hatten. Die Krankheit scheint sich wirklich extra gut festzuhalten und wollte noch nicht gehen. Bitte bete weiterhin mit uns für ihre baldige Abreise! Ich konnte vom Bett aus weiterarbeiten und konnte so auch an Besprechungen teilnehmen, was ein Segen war. Jen war in dieser Zeit für uns beide die beste Krankenschwester.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ihr den Blog gesehen oder es anders gehört habt, aber der Gründer von YWAM Loren Cunningham ist Anfang Oktober verstorben. Gestern Abend wurde eine wunderschöne Lebensfeier für ihn gefeiert, die so ermutigend und inspirierend war. How are you?

Our time at the middle school retreat was wonderful. God was encouraging many of the kids through the talks about the Love God, love your neighbor and love yourself theme. We had the opportunity to pray for people and encourage others as well as talk more with them about the talks. Through that time we felt God also gave us new vision which was awesome! All of us came back refreshed from that wonderful time.

Make sure to bless a neighbor this month by bringing them something back from the store that they forgot to get!

Unsere Zeit bei der Kinder Freizeit war super. Gott ermutigte viele der Kinder durch die verschiedenen Talks über das Thema „Liebe Gott, liebe deinen Nächsten und liebe dich selbst“. Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, für Menschen zu beten und andere zu ermutigen und auch mehr über die Talks mit den Kids direkt zu sprechen. Während dieser Zeit hatten wir das Gefühl, dass Gott uns auch neue Vision gab, was großartig ist! Wir kamen alle erfrischt aus dieser wundervollen Zeit zurück.

Vergiss diesen Monat auch nicht  einem Nachbarn zu helfen indem du etwas vom Laden für sie mitbringst das sie vergessen haben!

We hope you had an amazing week and 4^th of July Celebration!!

Once a week I go on a prayer walk to spend extended time with God. Those times are rich and refreshing times. Last week when I did that God opened up some divine appointments to encourage people and to speak hope into their circumstance. One situation was especially interesting since that person literally thought of me one minute before. Isn’t that awesome. I love when God does that. I want to encourage you with 2 things: 1 to have extended times with God 2. To be open to His lead. Trust me its always an adventure with God.

Lemonade and girl scout cookies are so wonderful and knowing when you consume them you blessed neighborhood kids is even better! So this month buy something from neighbor kids!

Wie geht es dir?

Wir hoffen das du eine tolle Woche hattest!!

Einmal in der Woche mache ich einen Gebetslauf, um längere Zeit mit Gott zu verbringen. Diese Zeiten sind erfrischende Zeiten. Als ich das letzte Woche tat plante Gott 2 Termine fuer mich um Menschen zu ermutigen und Hoffnung in verschiedene Situation zu sprechen. Eine Situation war besonders interessant, da diese Person eine Minute zuvor buchstäblich an mich gedacht hatte. Ist das nicht großartig wie Gott das tut! Ich möchte Dich mit zwei Dingen ermutigen: 1. Verbringe längere Zeiten mit Gott 2. Sei offen für seine Führung.

Glaub mir, es ist immer ein Abenteuer mit Gott.

Ist es nicht super wenn dir Nachbars Kinder im Garten helfen oder auch mit etwas anderem und du sie dann dadurch ein wenig finanziell unterstützen kannst! Mache genau dies diesen Monat!
