Jesus most famous Sermon Part 16 a small and a wide gate

Today’s topic of Jesus most famous Sermon is about a small and a wide gate in Matthew 7.13-14. Be encouraged!

Hello our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!

This week we got some sad news. Our friend Mikel who had such a love for Jesus, and who I knew almost as long as I was here in San Francisco, passed away. I will write some more thoughts about my friend at a later time. I want to ask you to keep his family in prayer in this time of grief.

One reminder from the video at the end: Lets examine our lives and see on which path we are at this point and make adjustments if needed. If you never made a decision for Jesus we want to encourage you to do that and if you do connect with a local church, start reading the bible and start to pray. Also a great thing to do is joining an Alpha course. It will give you a good foundation for your journey with Jesus!

God bless you

Jesus most famous Sermon Part 15 Do to others as you want them to do to you

Today’s topic of Jesus most famous Sermon is about doing to others as you want them to do to you in Matthew 7.12. Be inspired!

Hello our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!

3 years ago one of our main grocery stores in the neighborhood closed. We still had one smaller grocery store left but that one has a limited selection. That really affected many people in our community since it was harder to get groceries. So after many delays last week a new grocery store opened up. Many people from the neighborhood came and were happy to have another grocery store which is affordable and carries more things. Of course a grocery store is a bigger need in the neighborhood that many of us could not just fulfill by starting one. But each one of us can look for small things that are needed and become the answer for those. Ask yourself, the neighbors and God the question: what does my neighborhood need and how can I be the answer for that?

One reminder from the video at the end: Remember to treat others the way you want to be treated, no matter if they do that or not.

God bless you

Hello our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!

Once a week I get together with a small group to pray together on zoom. Yes, we can pray alone as well or with our family, but praying with a group is a real blessing too. When you pray together you often time pray about things you would have not thought about on your own. God puts different things on the hearts of each one to pray and then you get to pray together for them. Love that. Its also very easy to do:

  1. Set a time and a place (we do ours over zoom that makes it easy for each one to come)
  2. Invite people that have a heart to pray.
  3. Ask God what to pray for and as well think about topics like your neighbors, kids in the neighborhood, schools, workplaces to pray for.
  4. Pray J

One reminder from the video at the end: 1. Come to God humbly and ask for the things you need or questions you have. 2.  Seek Him regularly and grow closer. 3. Be perseverant.

God bless you

Jesus most famous Sermon Part 13 Judging others

Today’s topic of Jesus most famous Sermon is about judging others in Matthew 7.1-6. Be inspired!

Hello our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!

Last week Caleb and I randomly found a small park in the city that we have never been to. It was near a hospital. Caleb started running around with some kids there and I got in a conversation with a dad. I found out his wife was here for a medical appointment. Just by starting this conversation god opened up a door to encourage and pray for him in this fear-provoking moment and point him towards the one who is always with him. I want to encourage you through this situation that we are Gods hands and feet who he partners with to bring hope.

One reminder from the video at the end: Ask God to show you the “log” sin in your own life and repent and bring it to him. Then ask holy spirit to help you not to judge or come with pride but instead come with humility, love and compassion to help the person.

God bless you

Jesus most famous Sermon Part 12 Anxiousness

Today’s topic of Jesus most famous Sermon is about Anxiousness in Matthew 6.25-34. Be inspired!

Hello our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!

Some visits are easy and lots of fun. But some visits are hard especially if you don’t know if you will see the person again. We had one of those last week while visiting a neighbor friend at a hospice place. It was not an easy time but we were able to bring joy just by being there. Jen got to share the gospel again and pray for our friend. The visit made us sad, but it showed again how genuine and real our friendship is. It can be easy to avoid hard moments like this, but I want to encourage you not to do so. Instead be a genuine friend in those seasons and show the love of Jesus through that!

We also celebrated the 4th of July with our church with a BBQ on the beach. It was a lot of fun! And since it was the 250th birthday celebration the city planned an extra special firework over the Golden Gate Bridge. Sadly so, Karl the fog came in and covered up most of the show. But I got a short video of some that could be seen below the fog. 🙂

One reminder from the video at the end: Want to be more free from anxiousness? Remember to seek first his Kingdom (prioritize his will, recognize God’s authority, going towards righteousness, participate in God’s work and trust His provision) and Righteousness!

God bless you
