Last Saturday different churches in the city hosted an annual worship event called the sound in the middle of Golden Gate park. The wonderful thing about this event is that people who just spent time in the park get to hear about Jesus. Its such a wonderful event. I got to help at the prayer area and pray for some people including a young man who randomly walked by the area and heard the music and checked it out.

We also hope you got encouraged through todays Gospel Carrier Helen Rosevaere. We want to encourage you even when things fall apart to lean into Jesus.

Studying the bible together with others is such a blessing. As our small group we are reading right now through the book of acts. When we meet up we share a quick overview and then each one is sharing what stuck out to them individually. Everytime we do that something new sticks out to us. We want to encourage you to read and study the bible together with others and be blessed by it!

This week I had the opportunity to spend time with another Dad from the neighborhood. It is so great to have times like that since you understand each other including the great and challenging times. And with that you can encourage each other. If you have children we want to encourage you to build friendships with other Dads and Moms to walk together during those seasons.

Last week I shared with our board from YWAM Bay area about what we do. It is so wonderful to have a board of people that bring help and their expertise to the things going on and provide their inside. We have board members from in and outside of YWAM which helps to get a greater outside perspective. I feel it’s a pretty good picture for us as believers too. We have God and our faith community that helps us grow and get perspective as well as help us see our blind spots. We want to encourage you that if you haven’t already done so to plug into a church community and of course that is a given to spend time with God!

I love how God is using giftings and things you learned, in the context you are in. Last week I was able to help a newly married couple in the area of finances through the things I learned over the years. They were really blessed and I felt encouraged that I was able to help them. What gifting did God give you or what things did you learn that he could use to bless others? Think about it!!
