One of our good friends from the neighborhood passed away a little bit ago and last weekend we got to go to the Memorial. Jen got to share a little bit about or friendship with her and all the wonderful moments we had together and about how much she meant to us. But we also got to hear from different people who were there how much our friendship meant to her. Friendship with our neighbors matters more then you might think!!

We also hope you got encouraged through todays Gospel Carrier Jim Elliot. We want to encourage you to think about what it means for you to lay down your life for the Gospel and if you are willing to do it.

In most organizations you see and know the faces of the people that are more in the public, but there are many people working behind the scenes that are a big part in making everything work. One of those in our YWAM Bay area family is our finance director. From making sure bills are paid, keeping the books and organizing everything so that donations go to the right spot just name a few, she did such an amazing job. She made sure all those things are working and done correctly over all those years. She also helped to put together and trained a team (which im also part of) which will now take on her roles when she is leaving. We are all so thankful for her and are sad to see her go but in the same way are happy for her and her family for the next things God has for her.

We also hope you got encouraged through todays Gospel Carrier Elisabeth Elliot. We want to encourage you to use the giftings God has given you to share the gospel.

Last Saturday different churches in the city hosted an annual worship event called the sound in the middle of Golden Gate park. The wonderful thing about this event is that people who just spent time in the park get to hear about Jesus. Its such a wonderful event. I got to help at the prayer area and pray for some people including a young man who randomly walked by the area and heard the music and checked it out.

We also hope you got encouraged through todays Gospel Carrier Helen Rosevaere. We want to encourage you even when things fall apart to lean into Jesus.

Studying the bible together with others is such a blessing. As our small group we are reading right now through the book of acts. When we meet up we share a quick overview and then each one is sharing what stuck out to them individually. Everytime we do that something new sticks out to us. We want to encourage you to read and study the bible together with others and be blessed by it!

This week I had the opportunity to spend time with another Dad from the neighborhood. It is so great to have times like that since you understand each other including the great and challenging times. And with that you can encourage each other. If you have children we want to encourage you to build friendships with other Dads and Moms to walk together during those seasons.

We also hope you got inspired through todays Gospel Carrier Betty Greene. Pray about and ask God how he wants to use the giftings and talents he has given you to bring the gospel to people that haven’t heard it yet?
