The fear of missing out on something

Today we want to talk about the fear of missing out on something. Be inspired!

Hi our friend

How was your week?

Its exciting to see how God keep opening doors to teach and encourage others in loving their neighbor. On Saturday we were invited to host a love your neighbor workshop at a church in the bay area and it was a wonderful time. Pray with us that each of the participants will apply what they learned about loving their neighbor right away into their life, while they do our after workshop 21 day challenge with their church. In the challenge they get a practical tip daily on how to love their neighbor, with different ways to do it, so they can put it right away into action. We also had a wonderful time with the twice a year YWAM bay area review and evaluation which was as usual encouraging. Its so good to hear from others and get some outside perspective.

We are also enjoying as a family the beautiful sunny weather we have right now to go on walks together.

Also dont forget the encouragment from the video above and start this week to commit and enjoy and not fear to miss out.

God bless you

Stories to think about – Ruth going to a foreign land

Our story today is about a lady name Ruth and going to a foreign land! You can read the story in the book of Ruth!

Hi our friend

During this last week we spend extra time praying for all the major things going on in the world that affect so many people. If it’s the flooding in Germany, the Afghanistan situation or the drought in different parts of the world that affects many. Often its hard for us to make a physical difference at the affected location since its often far away. But through prayer and giving we can stand with the people there even if they are far away. Ask God this week what your role is in bringing change into places of struggle in this world and how you can make a difference from where you are!! Let God guide you in that!!

Also along with the story of Ruth ask yourself where did God call you to? It doesn’t matter where, just follow him and trust that he will provide for you!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Ruth

I love the book of Ruth. Its such a beautiful story of Redemption. This is a short video blog on it and I hope it and you reading it inspires you!

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful summer week!!

During the last week we could again connect with many neighbors just by taking Caleb outside in his stroller. Its so easy in the summer month to get connected with others we have to just be intentional about it. This week we also set some extra time aside to pray for our neighborhood by walking our streets. God showed us during those times so many things to pray for. Plan this week a little walk around your neighborhood to pray for your community and also connect with people. You might not feel like doing it, but let me tell you its gonna be a blessing for you and your community and make a difference.

Also let God encourage you through the book of Ruth when you read it! Its a short read!!

God bless you

Here is the Love your neighbor monthly tip – Have a get together

Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to have a simple get together either in the garage or outside! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Hi our friend

First we want you to remember that you are amazing and loved!! Also we really hope you had a wonderful week!!

We had a wonderful week here in San Francisco. We had our first in person meetup of our church small group in the park this week which was wonderful. We all had a picnic together and just spend time encouraging each other. Its awesome how God encourages us through others. I was also working on our love your neighbor social which is more and more coming together. We will host another workshop in just a few weeks and for that one we want to have some more things set up on it.  So keep me in your prayers since I don’t have a tech degree and kind of figure everything out along the way J.

We as a family do well too. Caleb is still working on sleeping a bit more during the night so that his parents get to sleep more too but that will also eventually happen. We love that little boy.

Also along with our love your neighbor blog video of the week don’t forget to have a little get-together with neighbors if it’s possible in your area!!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Galatians

Today I want to share with you a few highlights out of the book of Galatians! Paul gave people direction and helped them to keep the right perspective. Be encouraged!!

Hi our friend

We hope you are doing super well!! We enjoy the sunny weather in San Francisco which is very unusual for this season. It enables us to go outside more and also take Caleb on walks. He also had his 4 month checkup this week and is doing really well which makes us really happy too.

The little things you do for others often make a big difference and often it brings a blessing back to you too. One of our neighbor friends had a operation recently and wasn’t able to go grocery shopping so we did the grocery shopping for her and she felt so blessed. But it was not just a blessing to her, no we were able to do our grocery shopping as well during those times and I could use her car to get them, that way I did not have to carry them up the hill. So you see often when you bless others you get blessed back. We want to encourage you this week to do something small for your neighbors and bless them through it!!

Also don’t forget to read the book of Galatians and through it see if you are on the right course.

God bless you
