Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

How are you?

Jen and i are doing good! This week in San Francisco felt almost like spring came early. Usually it would rain and be cold this part of the year but instead it was warm and sunny. That automatically helps to have a good week! Some of the big things this week were finishing up a teaching and also helping in the planning for a after covid relaunch of our church here. Also please keep our and your neighborhood in your prayers in this season since many people are struggling with isolation and business owners with hardship. Pray for peace and wisdom for business owners and courage for the people who are isolated to reach out to others for connection and others around them to reach out to them.

Also make sure to follow our monthly tip on how to love your neighbor this month by introducing yourself to your neighbor!

Wieso ist es wichtig?

Als Jesus uns dazu berufen hat unseren Nächsten (Nachbarn) zu lieben, gab er uns eine Aufgabe die für jeden von uns möglich ist und gleichzeitig auch ein Segen für uns ist. Viele Menschen in unserem Umfeld fühlen sich oftmals einsam oder haben nicht das Gefühl das sie dazugehören (vielleicht fühlen wir uns auch selber manchmal so) und jeder von uns kann Veränderung in diesem Bereich bringen. Du wirst sehen wie sich diese Dinge und die Beziehungen mit Nachbarn verändern wenn wir sie lieben, und wie auch wir selber eine größere Liebe für unsere Nachbarn haben. Es wird einen großen Eindruck hinterlassen und eine starke Gemeinschaft aufbauen für dich und sie um nur einige Dinge zu nennen. Wenn ich zum letzten Jahr zurückdenke und wie die Corona Virus Situation jeden auf der Welt traf sah man auch mehr und mehr 1. wie wichtig es ist die Liebe Gottes auch zu unseren Wohngebieten zu bringen und 2. Wie wichtig es ist mit unseren Nachbarn verbunden zu sein. Es war eine gute Erinnerung an Jesus Auftrag speziell auch deshalb da wir nicht wirklich woanders hingehen konnten. Lasst uns dies zusammentun und Jesus Auftrag unseren Nächsten/ Nachbarn zu lieben ernst nehmen. Wir werden jeden Monat einen Tipp posten wie Beziehungen aufgebaut werden können und wie wir praktisch unsere Nachbarn lieben können. Und dann werden wir das ganze aktiv mit unseren Nachbarn leben. Dann pass auf und sehe wie sich mit der Zeit deine Wohngegend verändert! Jeder von uns kann es tun deshalb lasst uns aktiv werden, Du, ich und jeder einzelne von uns!!

Hallo Freunde

Wie geht es dir?

Jen und mir geht es gut. Unsere Woche in San Francisco hat sich beinahe wie Fruehjahr angefuehlt. Normalerweise wuerde es hier zu dieser Jahreszeit regnen aber anstatt dessen hatten wir Sonne und warmes Wetter. Das hat automatisch geholfen eine gute Woche zu haben.  Das hilft automatisch zu einer guten Woche! Einige der grossen Dinge dieser Woche waren das fertigstellen von Schulungen und Planungs Meetings mit unserer Gemeinde fuer einen Start der Kirche nach der Corona Krise. Bitte bete auch fuer unsere als auch deine Wohngegend in dieser Zeit da viele sehr von Einsamkeit betroffen sind und viele GEschaefts Besitzer Probleme haben. Betet fuer Friede und Weisheit von Gott fuer die Geschaefte Inhaber und Mut fuer die Einsamen mit anderen in Verbindung zu kommen als auch die in ihrem Umfeld Kontakt mit ihnen aufzubauen.

Vergiss auch nicht unserem monatlichen Love your neighbor Tip zu folgen und dich diesen Monat deinem Nachbarn vorzustellen!
