[:en]I love how the name Obadiah in Hebrew means worshipper and he worships god by following the things God calls him to do. He came as a prophet to share for one part a message to the Edomite’s, who were enemies of Israel for a long time. Again another man who follows Gods calling on his life. May the book speak to you.

How are you?

Our week in San Francisco was again super rainy but again God made ways to still meet up with others. We had a wonderful meeting about how to teach and inspire people in prayer walking with our friend from Kentucky with hospitality matters. It was a wonderful time. We got to go on a prayer walk together in our neighborhood and God held back the rain for most of the time. Have you done a prayer walk in your area? Jen also celebrated her birthday this week and got to go out for a dinner with a friend. Again lots of rain was in the forecast for that time but God blessed her for the whole time they were out with no rain. I love that!!

Also spend time this week to think about the book of Obadiah and what stuck out to you in how he followed God.

Wie geht es dir?

Unsere Woche in San Francisco war wieder super regnerisch, aber Gott hat uns wieder Wege gegeben uns mit anderen zu treffen. Wir hatten ein wunderbares Treffen mit unserem Freund aus Kentucky von Hospitality Matters zum Thema Gebetsmarsch und wie wir andere dazu ermutigen und ausbilden können. Es war eine wunderbare Zeit. Wir konnten zusammen einen Gebetsmarsch in unserer Nachbarschaft machen und Gott hielt den Regen die meiste Zeit dafür zurück. Hast du in deiner Gegend schon einen Gebetsmarsch gemacht? Wenn nicht und du vielleicht nicht weißt wie, sende uns eine E-Mail und wir helfen dir damit zu starten!!

Jen feierte diese Woche auch ihren Geburtstag und ging mit einer Freundin zum Essen. Wieder war viel Regen für diese Zeit vorhergesagt, aber Gott segnete sie für die ganze Zeit mit Trockenheit. Ich liebe das!!

Nimm dir diese Woche auch Zeit, um über das Buch Obadja nachzudenken und darüber wie er Gott nachgefolgt ist.

How was your week? Our time in Pennsylvania was wonderful. We had a lot of time with family and for the first time in 11 years we were there for a family Thanksgiving. It was such a special time celebrating together. It was so wonderful seeing everyone again in person after over 3 years. Our Gathering we had was also a great time. We got to see other friends that we haven’t seen at all the other places and could share about what God is doing in SF. The only problem with the trip was that Time just went by too fast.

Also looking at our bible journey and the book of Joel ask yourself these questions:
How did you see God reach out to his people through Joel so they would turn back to him? How do you think you can share his unconditional love with people you know and live around?

Wie war Deine Woche? Unsere Zeit in Pennsylvania war wunderbar. Wir hatten viel Zeit mit der Familie und zum ersten Mal seit 11 Jahren waren wir dort für ein Familien-Thanksgiving. Das gemeinsame Feiern war eine ganz besondere Zeit. Es war so toll, alle nach über 3 Jahren wieder persönlich zu sehen. Unser Treffen das wir veranstalteten war auch eine tolle Zeit. Wir sahen dabei noch Freunde die wir noch nicht zuvor gesehen haben und konnten ein wenig davon berichten was Gott in SF tut. Das einzige Problem bei der Reise war, dass die Zeit einfach zu schnell vergangen ist.

Vergiss diese Woche auch nicht Dir diese Fragen zum Buch Joel zu stellen: Wie hat Gott durch Joel versucht sein Volk zu erreichen so dass sie zu ihm zurückkehren? Wie kannst du Menschen in deinem Umfeld (Nachbarn) von Gottes unendlicher Liebe erzählen?

How are you?

While meeting up with people this week and just spending quality time with them we ended up in amazing conversations. One of the things I noticed and learned over time is the importance of being fully present. What does that mean? It means while you are with someone and spend time with them don’t be in your mind already at the next thing or get distracted through your phone. Instead fully listen and pay attention to what they are saying. I got so many responses over the years from different people how they felt heard. So whoever you are with, a friend, family, a neighbor, a college or a friend you haven’t met yet, make sure you are really fully there with them.

Also ask yourself the question along with the book of Daniel: In which areas of your life do you have to grow, to be able to live your faith without compromise like Daniel?

Wie geht es dir?

Als wir uns diese Woche mit Leuten trafen und Zeit mit ihnen verbrachten, kamen wir in wunderbare Gespräche mit ihnen. Eines der Dinge, die ich im Laufe der Zeit bemerkt und gelernt habe, ist, wie wichtig es ist, vollständig präsent zu sein. Was bedeutet das? Das bedeutet das während du mit jemandem Zeit verbringst, du nicht schon an die nächste Sache denkst oder das du dich durch dein Telefon ablenken lässt. Höre stattdessen vollständig zu und achte darauf was sie sagen. Ich habe im Laufe der Jahre so oft von verschiedenen Menschen gehört, dass wenn wir Zeit zusammen hatten sie das Gefühl hatten das sie wirkliche gehört wurden. Ganz egal mit wem auch immer du Zeit verbringst, ein Freund, eine Familie, ein Nachbar, ein Kollege oder ein Freund den du noch nicht kennengelernt hast, schau darauf dass du wirklich voll und ganz da bist.

Stelle dir diese Woche auch diese Frage zum Buch Daniel: In welchem Bereich in deinem Leben musst du noch wachsen um deinen Glauben wie Daniel aktiv zu leben ganz egal welche Konsequenzen es mit sich bringt?
