2 Advent PreperationBack home in Germany we celebrate the 4 Sundays before Christmas, called Advent, by burning a candle for each Sunday on the Advent wreath and by preparing our hearts for Christmas and the good news that came with it. Each of the candle symbolizes something different and we will write about the meanings for the next 4 weeks.

The second candle on the Advent wreath is also called the Bethlehem Candle or the Candle of Preparation. The time before Jesus was born was a preparation time for His family. They had to get ready to go to Bethlehem while being pregnant. If you think about the preparation it takes to go on a journey today, imagine that 2000 years ago without cars, busses planes etc. Traveling was a hard thing in that time so you had to be prepared for everything since you couldn’t just pick up things you forgot easily.

What about us and our journey with God? Advent is a time of preparation for our personal journey with him. Getting ready for Christmas doesn’t just mean to get all the gifts, bake all the cookies and clean the house. No preparation also means preparing our hearts. How do we do that? We do it by spending time with Him. It could be by meditating on scriptures from the bible, praying, spending time in silence in His presence or any other things that you do to spend time with Him. When our heart, mind, soul and spirit focus is on Him Christmas will be a different celebration. All the things we normally do at that time become secondary and the true reason why we celebrate Christmas is becoming the number one.

We want to encourage you this week to get ready for Christmas by preparing during your times with him.  Start reading the bible stories that lead up to Christmas. If you have the chance share the special things you got out of those times with a friend or maybe also people that don’t know Jesus yet.

Hey our friend

Wow this week was a whirlwind. I Markus was speaking at a Christian business man meeting which was a great time. Thank you God! Then we had a game night and a brunch at our house as well we celebrated early Christmas with our YWAM Bay area Family. It was a week of Christmas celebration and speaking. It also always opens the door for great conversations about our love for Jesus. Use this time to do that!!

Also we want to say thank you to all who support us in our work here through Prayer and finances! You are a huge blessing to us! May god bless you richly!

We have a request for you! To do the work we are doing we depend 100% on support. Over the last few months we lost about $287 in monthly support through changes of circumstances in people’s lives. So at this point we need about $1410 more in monthly support to be fully funded and about $8.950 more to reach our full budget for this year. We want to ask for your help in sharing with people you know that have a heart for missions and would be interested in joining our support team monthly or with a year end donation. Markus and Jen2 Advent VOrbereitungIn dieser Adventszeit wollen wir ein wenig über die Bedeutung der verschiedenen Kerzen auf dem Adventskranz schreiben.

Die zweite Kerze wird oftmals Betlehem Kerze oder auch die Kerze der Vorbereitung genannt. Die Zeit bevor Jesus geboren wurde war eine Vorbereitungszeit für seine Familie. Sie mussten sich bereit machen für eine Reise nach Betlehem während Maria schwanger war. Wenn du daran denkst wie lange es heutzutage dauert um sich für eine Reise vorzubereiten, denke einmal 2000 Jahre zurück in eine Zeit in der es keine Autos, Buse oder Flugzeuge gab. Reisen war eine schwierige Sache in dieser Zeit und daher musstest du sehr gut dafür vorbereitet sein. Du konntest nicht einfach in einen Laden gehen und die Dinge kaufen die du vergessen hast.

Aber wie sieht das mit uns aus und unserer Lebens Reise mit Gott? Advent ist eine Zeit der Vorbereitung für unsere persönliche Lebens Reise mit Ihm. Sich auf Weihnachten vorzubereiten heißt nicht nur alle Geschenke einzukaufen, Guatsle (Weihnachtsgebäck) zu backen oder das Haus zu putzen. Nein Vorbereitung heißt auch die Vorbereitung unseres Herzens. Aber wie machen wir das? Wir tun es indem wir Zeit mit Ihm verbringen. Wir können z.B. die Bibel lesen und über Bibelverse nachdenken, beten, Zeit in der Stille verbringen oder auch alles was du normalerweise tust um Zeit mit Ihm zu verbringen. Wenn unser Verstand, unser Herz, unsere Seele und unser Geist auf Ihn ausgerichtet sind wird die Weihnachtsfeier anders aussehen. Alle Dinge die wir normalerweise tun werden zweitranging und der wahre Grund wieso wir Weihnachten feiern wird die Nummer 1.

Wir möchten dich in dieser Woche ermutigen dich in deinen Zeiten mit Ihm auf Weihnachten vorzubereiten. Fang an die Vor Geschichte zur Weihnachtsgeschichte zu lesen. Wenn du die Möglichkeit hast erzähle einem Freund oder jemanden der Jesus noch nicht kennt von dem was Gott dir in diesen Zeiten gelehrt hat.

Hallo unser/e Freund/in

Wow diese Woche verging so schnell. Ich (Markus) sprach bei einem Treffen von christlichen Geschäftsleuten was super lief. Danke Gott . Dann hatten wir einen Spielabend und ein Brunch bei uns zuhause und zum Abschluss hatten wir noch eine Weihnachtsfeier mit allen YWAM Mitarbeitern des Bay area. Die Weihnachtszeit öffnet die Tür offen über unsere Liebe für Jesus zu reden. Nutze diese Gelegenheit!

Und an dieser Stelle wollen wir Danke sagen an alle die uns in unserer Arbeit hier unterstützen, im Gebet und finanziell! Ihr seid ein großer Segen für uns! Möge Euch Gott reichlich segnen!

Und hier noch ein Anliegen. Um die Arbeit hier zu tun sind wir 100% auf Spenden angewiesen. In den letzten Monaten verloren wir ca. $287 an monatlicher Unterstützung da sich bei einigen Dinge geändert haben (Schule, Hauskauf, verstorben usw.). Zu diesem Zeitpunkt brauchen wir noch $1.410 mehr in monatlicher Unterstützung um komplett finanziert zu sein und noch ca. 8.950 Dollar um unser komplettes Budget für dieses Jahr zu erreichen. Love your neighbor Part 4Often we think big things make all the difference. The big gift, the big house, the big car, the big church etc. But in reality a lot of little ones make an even greater difference.

A few years ago we had a thanksgiving meal and invited a neighbor. He wasn’t able to make it so we send him off with some food to go and wrote him an encouraging card which we put in his mailbox. A day later he thanked us and we thought he talked about the food, but it was the card that he was so thankful for. Something so easy.

Another time a neighbor went through a hard time so I called and by that showed that we cared. The person was so encouraged and so thankful that we kept hearing that for a long time.

Once we hang up a sheet of paper at our door which said: Take what you need. On the bottom we had words like forgiveness, hope, joy, healing, inspiration which you could rip of and take home. We later found out that some of our neighbors took them and hang them up at their fridge to be inspired daily.

All of those examples are easy and small things, but they make a huge difference. To go further in a relationship, this is a great way to show that you care. What about if you start doing that with your neighbors? Think about how it can change your immediate neighbors and neighborhood! You can become a hope bringer to people that might be hopeless and a true friend.

How to start?

  1. Brainstorm and pray what little things you could do for your neighbors!
  2. When you figured it out, do them!! Faith without works is dead!

Hey our friend

Hopefully summer is still in full swing for you and we hope you have a chance for a few days off to enjoy it. Jen and I are on our way back from PA. We had a wonderful time which ended with speaking at a church in Lancaster about how to love your neighbor. We were also able to attend the wedding of Cousin Dave and his now wife Rebekah. What a wonderful day.

When we are back in San Francisco we have quite a few things going on. Please pray for a quick time to get over jetlag.

Markus and JenLove your neighbor Teil 4Oftmals denken wir das nur Große Dinge was bewirken. Das Große Geschenk, das Große Haus, das Große Auto, die Große Gemeinde usw. Aber in Wirklichkeit verändern kleine Dinge oftmals mehr.

Wir luden einen Nachbarn zu einem Thanksgiving Fest ein, aber leider schaffte er es nicht zu kommen. Wir packten ihm essen und schrieben ihm eine ermutigende Karte die wir in seinen Briefkasten einwurfen. Einen Tage später kam er zu uns und bedankte sich, was wir dachten für das essen. Aber nein die Dankbarkeit war für die Karte, etwas so einfaches.

Ein anderes Mal ging eine Nachbarin durch eine schwere Zeit und wir riefen an um zu zeigen das sie nicht vergessen ist. Diese Nachbarin wurde dadurch so ermutigt und wir hörten für lange Zeit das sie so dankbar dafür war.

Einmal hängten wir einen Zettel an unsere Tür auf welchem stand: Nimm was du brauchst. Darunter hingen Zettel zum Abreisen mit den Worten Vergebung, Hoffnung, Freude, Heilung usw. Als wir nach einer Weile schauten sahen wir das viele Zettel abgerissen wurden und bei Besuchen sahen wir sie dann bei unseren Nachbarn am Kühlschrank als Ermutigung.

All diese Beispiele sind einfach und klein, machten aber einen großen Unterschied. Um eine Beziehung und Freundschaft zu vertiefen helfen solche kleinen Dinge da du zeigst das es dir wichtig ist. Wie wär es wenn du dies mit deinen Nachbarn tust? Denke mal daran wie es deine direkten Nachbarn und Nachbarschaft verändern kann! Du kannst zum Hoffnungs Bringer und Freund für jemand werden der Hoffnung braucht.

Wie kannst du anfangen?

  1. Überlege dir und bete darüber was für kleine Dinge du für Nachbarn tun kannst!
  2. Wenn du dir die Dinge überlegt hast, tu sie!! Glaube ohne Werke ist tot!

Hallo unser/e Freund/in

Wir hoffen das dein Sommer noch im vollen Zuge ist und du Zeit hast ihn an einigen Tagen zu genießen. Jen und ich sind nun auf dem Rückweg von Pennsylvania. Wir hatten eine super Zeit welche wir mit predigen über das Thema Love your neighbor praktisch beendeten.  Wir waren auch noch auf der Hochzeit von einem Cousin von Jen was auch super war.

Wenn wir wieder zurück in San Francisco sind, haben wir einige Dinge vor uns. Bete mit uns das wir schnell über den Jetlag hinwegkommen.

it is well with my soulLast year when we were on our way to Germany to go to the funeral of my grandpa we had to go on a 6 hour drive to LA. On that drive we listened to worship music and the song it is well with my soul just kept coming back on. It really encouraged me and brought me hope during that time. When I looked into the story of the song I was amazed. It was written by a Chicago lawyer after he went through many tragedies. First he lost his son, then he lost most of his wealth in the big Chicago fire and then he sent his wife and daughters to Europe for a vacation on which trip the ship collided and all 4 of his daughters died. On his way over to meet with his grieving wife he wrote this song:

1. When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say:

Chorus:
It is well, it is well, with my soul. It is well, with my soul!
It is well, with my soul! It is well, it is well, with my soul!

2. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control, that Christ has regarded
my helpless estate, and hath shed His own blood for my soul.

3. My sin, o, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

4. For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live: if Jordan above me shall roll,

Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

His life was hit by one tragedy after the other, but in all of that he kept his focus on God. I’m sure he didn’t understand why things happened the way they happened, but he choose to keep believing that his Father in Heaven is good and does not want any bad for him. Ask yourself those questions:

  1. Do you truly believe that God is good even in times of challenge?
  2. If not, what do you think makes you believe it is not true?
  3. Spend time praying and ask God how you can see this truth again in your life!

Hey our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week. My brother and his wife left to go back to Germany. We had a wonderful time with them and look forward to see them again!! I was also meeting with a friend who uses the ministry concept to bring hope to his community. We also shared with one of my old students from Switzerland on how to impact his area with the ministry concept. God is starting to bring in more people who have a heart for their neighbors and community and want to use the concept there. Keep praying that all those starts will be fruitful.

Markus and JenWenn Friede mit GottAls Jen und ich letztes Jahr auf dem Weg zu der Beerdigung meines Opas waren hatten wir eine 6 stündige Autofahrt nach Los Angeles vor uns. Auf dieser Fahrt hörten wir uns Lobpreislieder an, und ein Lied spielte wieder und wieder; „it is well with my soul“ Wenn Friede mit Gott. Es machte mir Mut und brachte mir Hoffnung während dieser schwierigen Reise. Als ich die Geschichte las die sich hinter diesem Lied verbarg war ich erstaunt. Es wurde von einem Anwalt aus Chicago geschrieben nachdem er viele Tragödien in seinem Leben hatte. Zuerst starb sein Sohn, dann verlor er sehr viel seines Besitzes nach dem großen Feuer in Chicago. Dann sandte er seine Frau und seine Töchter auf einen Urlaub nach Europa auf welchem das Schiff kollidierte und seine 4 Töchter starben und nur seine Frau überlebte durch ein Wunder. Er nahm dann das nächste Schiff um seiner trauernden Frau beizustehen und schrieb dann auf dieser Fahrt dieses Lied:

1. Wenn Friede mit Gott meine Seele durchdringt,
ob Stürme auch drohen von fern, mein Herze im Glauben
doch allezeit singt:

Refrain:

Mir ist wohl, mir ist wohl in dem Herrn. Mir ist wohl in dem Herrn!
Mir ist wohl in dem Herrn! Mir ist wohl, mir ist wohl in dem Herrn!

2. Wenn Satan mir nachstellt und bange mir macht,
so leuchtet dies Wort mir als Stern: Mein Jesus hat alles
für mich schon vollbracht. Ich bin rein durch das Blut meines Herrn.

3. Die Last meiner Sünde trug Jesus, das Lamm,
und warf sie weit weg in die Fern’. Er starb ja für mich
auch am blutigen Stamm. Meine Seele lobpreiset den Herrn.

4. Nun leb’ ich in Christo für Christum allein. Sein Wort ist mein leitender Stern.
In Ihm hab’ ich Fried’ und Erlösung von Pein.
Meine Seele ist selig im Herrn.

5. O eile, mein Herr, und laß kommen den Tag;
mein Glaube sieht ihn schon von fern. Die Wolken vergeh’n,
die Trompete erschallt. Halleluja, ich bin bei dem Herrn.

Sein Leben wurde von einer Tragödie nach der nächsten getroffen, aber in dieser ganzen Zeit hatte er seinen Blick auf Gott. Ich bin mir sicher dass er nicht verstand wieso all diese Dinge passiert sind wie sie passiert sind, aber er traf die Wahl weiterhin zu glauben das sein Vater im Himmel  gut ist und nichts schlechtes für ihn möchte. Stelle dir die folgenden Fragen:

  1. Glaubst du wirklich das Gott gut ist, auch in Herausforderungen und Tragödien?
  2. Falls du es nicht glaubst, was denkst du was die Ursache dafür ist?
  3. Verbringe Zeit mit Gott im Gebet und frage ihn wie du die Wahrheit, das er gut ist, wieder in deinem Leben sehen kannst!

Hallo unser/e Freund/in

Wir hoffen das du eine wunderbare Woche hattest! Mein Bruder und seine Frau sind wieder zurück in Deutschland. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit mit ihnen und freuen uns auf unser nächstes Wiedersehen!! Ich traf mich in dieser Woche auch mit einem Freund der das Konzept der Arbeit einsetzt um seinen Ortsteil zu erreichen. Und dann unterrichteten wir noch einen meiner alten Studenten darin wie er das Konzept in seiner Heimat der Schweiz einsetzen kann. Gott bringt mehr und mehr Menschen zu uns die ein Herz haben ihre Nachbarn und Nachbarschaften mit dem Konzept zu erreichen. Bete mit uns das all diese Starts fruchtbar sind!

What is the Devil really after? Part 2

Last week I explained with some stories of the bible what the devil is really after. Today I want to look at how it looks like in the modern world.

But let’s start by looking back 200 years. The world was industrialized and instead of families working together on the farm the father goes to work in the factory. Many times he gets home exhausted from the day at work and doesn’t want to really invest into his relationships. That starts breaking down respect in the children for their fathers. They don’t see them most of the time and when they see them they are exhausted and don’t want to spend time with them. But for a child it is important to get affirmation from their father to grow up with a good self-esteem. But how do they get it if Dad has a hard time to be fully there. Now that generation grows up and tries to prove every day that they are good enough. But some do it in a way that it will take them even further away from true relationship. Some People in San Francisco actually live at work and just go home for sleeping. How do you want to have relationship if you never have time? So again the enemy throws a lie into the life of the people that value comes out of what we produce. Look at today’s society, every 2nd marriage ends up in a divorce. Why? It is because the enemy is in the business of trying to destroy relationship. Today we are the most connected in the whole history of mankind, but many people don’t even know anymore to have face to face relationship. It’s easier to put something on Facebook then actually sharing with someone face to face. We start believing that we have so many relationships, but how many of those are real? How many of those people would come to your house if you need some help?

broadwayOne last one: Pornography. When you look at that 14 Billion industry, it tells you something about our society. Sex was created for marriage because of relationship and intimacy we share there. It was created as the closest intimacy we can find. But with more and more people addicted to porn it takes them away from that deep intimate relationship. It gives them something counterfeit and at the end people are feeling worse than before. I read a statistic that 93% of boys and 62% of girls are exposed to porn before they are 18! Many young people are addicted to this lie and it makes them grow up in a way to not understand what true relationship means (if you know people that are trapped in it and want to be free, this website has some great resources and help http://xxxchurch.com/ )

So when we look at sin, we see: the issue with sin is actually not sin in itself, the issue with sin is that it cracks down in relationship and starts to separate and isolate us from our Father and also from other people. We get this feeling of guilt in us and then we are afraid of God and what he will do to us when we tell him what we did. When we are isolated we are an easy target for even more of his lies and eventually for his destruction. The enemy knows that.  He destroyed his relationship with God the day he wanted to become God, and pride took him over. But instead of fixing his relationship by repenting, he chooses to take as many down with him as he can.

I hope you start seeing the picture. Relationship is the key thing that the enemy is after. Let’s all do 3 things.

  1. Let’s pray for our relationships. If we see something in our own relationships with God or people lets pray for restoration. Also let’s do that if we see something in other people’s relationships.
  2. Let’s fix our relationships. If we did something wrong lets repent if someone else did something wrong to us lets forgive. Let’s start restoring relationships.
  3. Let’s be someone who gives relationship. Let’s build relationship to people that live right around us, or people we know that don’t have any true friends. Let’s invite them into our life and into relationship. We will help them by that and destroy the plans of the enemy to isolate them.

Let’s do this together and take as many people away from Satan’s plan and bring them back to a loving father.

We hope you had a great week and had a chance to think about the last blog and your relationships. We are writing those blogs to encourage and challenge all of us in the body of Christ to grow in our faith and our relationship with Him as well as our neighbor.

During our last week we had many meetings to move things forward in different areas of the ministry. We are moving into a new season with streamlining the ministry to be even more focused and effective as well as moving towards the new name. We meet with a coworker who is working on our web and presentation stuff for the ministry and things are really starting to come together. Keep praying that God gives us time in the process to get things done.

Please also keep us in your prayers since we are teaching in the DTS School this week on the father heart of God. Pray that God will really encourage and challenge the students as well as connect with His father heart in this time.

Worum geht es dem Teufel wirklich? Teil 2

Was möchte der Teufel wirklich zerstören Teil 2?

Letzte Woche schrieb ich anhand verschiedener Bibel Geschichten darüber was der Teufel wirklich zerstören möchte. Heute schauen wir uns das ganze mehr in der modernen Welt an.

Aber zuerst lass uns 200 Jahre zurückschauen. Die Welt wurde industrialisiert und anstatt das Familien zusammen auf der Farm arbeiteten, fing der Vater an in die Fabrik zu gehen. Oftmals kam er dann geschafft von der Arbeit zurück und wollte nicht mehr Zeit in seine Familie investieren. Dies führt dazu dass Kinder den Respekt für ihre Väter verlieren. Meistens sehen die Kinder ihren Vater nicht und wenn er da ist möchte er keine Zeit mit ihnen verbringen. Aber für Kinder ist es wichtig Ermutigung, Bestätigung und Leitung von ihren Vätern zu erhalten um mit einem guten Selbstwertgefühl aufzuwachsen. Aber wie bekommen sie dieses wenn Ihr Vater nie ganz da ist. Nun wächst eine Generation auf die sich jeden Tag beweisen muss dass sie gut genug sind. Aber manche machen es auf einem Weg dass sie noch mehr von Beziehungen wegbringt. Einige Menschen in San Francisco leben praktisch an ihrem Arbeitsplatz und gehen nur zum Schlafen nach Hause. Wie kannst du eine Beziehung aufbauen wenn du nie Zeit hast? Nun haben wir eine weiter Lüge des Teufels das unser Wert davon kommt von was wir leisten. Heutzutage endet jede 2. Ehe in Scheidung, wieso? Weil es dem Teufel darum geht Beziehungen zu zerstören. Heutzutage sind wir durch Technologie am meisten verbunden aber viele haben oftmals keine normalen tiefgehenden Gespräche mit Menschen. Es ist einfacher etwas auf Facebook zu schreiben als ein Gespräch mit jemandem zu führen.  Wir fangen an zu glauben das wir so viele Beziehungen haben, aber wie viele davon sind echt? Wieviel Menschen würden zu dir kommen wenn du Hilfe brauchst?

Sex wurde für Ehe geschaffen, weil wir dort ein wahres Vertrauen und Intimität teilen. Sex wurde als tiefste Beziehung die wir miteinander haben können geschaffen. Aber dadurch das mehr und mehr Menschen Pornographie abhängig sind, stielt es von Ihnen diese intime Beziehung. Pornographie ist eine Fälschung und Täuschung die Menschen etwas vorlügt und sie am Ende schlechter fühlend zurück lässt. Ich lass eine Statistik nach der 93% der Jungs und 62% der Mädchen mit Pornographie in Verbindung kommen bevor sie 18 sind! Viele junge Menschen wachsen heutzutage mit dieser Lüg auf und verstehen nicht was wahre Beziehung bedeutet (falls du Menschen kennst die darin gefangen sind und freikommen möchten kannst du auf dieser Seite gute Ressourcen finden http://xxxchurch.com/ ).

Wenn wir uns Sünde anschauen sehen wir folgendes: Das Problem mit Sünde ist nicht die Sünde selber. Das Problem ist das sie einen Bruch in unserer Beziehung mit Gott und anderen Menschen erzeugt. Sie fängt an uns von Gott unserem Vater und Beziehungen zu isolieren. Wir haben dieses Schuld Gefühl das uns Angst vor Gott und Menschen haben lässt und davon was Er oder sie tun werden wenn wir sagen was wir getan haben. Aber wenn wir uns isoliert haben sind wir ein einfaches Ziel für mehr  seiner Lügen und irgendwann seiner Zerstörung von uns. Der Teufel Weiß dies. Er zerstörte seine Beziehung mit Gott an dem Tag an dem er Gott werden wollte und Stolz überkam ihn. Aber anstatt seine Beziehung durch Reue und Vergebung wiederherzustellen wählte er, so viele wie möglich mit sich hinunterzuziehen.

Ich hoffe dies hilft dir etwas besser seinen Plan zu verstehen. Beziehung ist was der Teufel zerstören möchte. Lasst uns alle diese 3 Dinge tun:

  1. Lasst uns für unsere Beziehungen beten. Wenn wir etwas in unserer eigenen Beziehung mit Gott oder Menschen sehen lasst uns für Wiederherstellung beten. Lasst uns dies auch tun wenn wir es in den Beziehungen anderer sehen.
  2. Last uns unsere Beziehungen wiederherstellen. Wenn wir etwas falsch gemacht haben lasst uns um Vergebung bitten, wenn andere etwas falsches zu uns getan haben lasst uns Ihnen vergeben. Lasst uns anfangen dadurch Beziehungen wiederherzustellen.
  3. Lasst uns jemand sein der Beziehung schenkt. Lasst uns Beziehungen zu Menschen aufbauen die neben uns wohnen, oder Menschen die keine wahren Freunde haben. Lade sie ein an unserem Leben und uns an Ihrem teilzuhaben durch eine Freundschaft. Wir helfen ihnen dadurch und zerstören die Pläne des Teufels sie zu isolieren.

Lasst uns dies zusammen tun und dadurch so viele Menschen wie möglich zu Ihrem liebenden Vater zurückzubringen.

Hallo unser/e Freund/in

Wir hoffen das du eine gute Woche hattest und das du Gelegenheit hattest über den letzten Blog als auch deine Beziehungen nachzudenken. Wir schreiben diese Blogs um die Nachfolger Jesus zu ermutigen als auch zum weiteren wachsen herauszufordern. Wachsen in unserer Beziehung mit Ihm als auch mit unseren Nachbarn und Mitmenschen.

In der letzten Woche hatten wir viele Meetings die uns helfen um die Arbeit in verschiedenen Bereichen weiter vorwärts zu bewegen. In der kommenden Zeit arbeiten wir daran die verschiedenen Bereiche noch stärker zu fokussieren und dadurch effektiver zu machen während wir auch den neuen Namen inkorporieren. Wir hatten ein Meeting mit einem Mitarbeiter der an unserem Webauftritt als auch an Logos und anderem arbeitet. In dieser Zeit sahen wir mehr und mehr wie alle Dinge zusammen kommen. Bete mit uns das wir klar Gottes Leitung sehen während wir an einzelnen Dingen arbeiten.

Bitte bete auch für uns in dieser Woche während wir in der DTS Schule über das Thema das Vater Herz Gottes unterrichten. Bete dafür das Gott in dieser  Woche die Studenten wirklich herausfordert und ermutigt und sie sein Vater Herz kennenlernen. Vielen Dank fürs mitbeten.

What is the Devil really after

Question markMany times I got words of encouragement as well as prophetic words from people about the significance of the ministry we are doing and teach to others. One morning I woke up and started to totally understand why. Let me start this week to go through some situations in the bible to explain.

When God created us, He created us for relationship with Him and other people. When the devil came to Adam and Eve and tempted them with the fruit, what was his intend? He wanted Adam and Eve to be removed from the garden, but way more important, he wanted to put a crack into the relationship between them and also between them and God. Then the next one is Cain and Abel. Cain kills Abel cause of jealousy. He was jealous that his brother seemed to have a better relationship with God and instead of working on his, he rather kills his brothers and destroys it. What does Cain say in the moment when God asked him where his brother is, am I my brother’s keeper? Let’s go further to the Tower of Babel. The enemy encourages people to strive for the same as he wanted, to be God. So they build a tower to heaven to show that they are greater than God. They don’t remember that God gave them everything and loves them so much, no but they want to overpower Him and be greater. God stops it and I’m sure he was sad about how he had to do it, he gave each of them a different language, which makes relationship even harder. If you can’t understand each other how can you have a great relationship.

Another example is David. David commits adultery with the wife of one of his soldiers. That day 3 things happen. He breaks the marriage to his wife, as well as the marriage of the soldier. He also brings a crack into the relationship between him and God. David tries now to fix things but his fixing doesn’t work and 2 people have to die, the husband of the woman he slept with and her child that was conceived through that situation. But after the prophet came to him, he repents with all his heart to fix the crack in his relationship with God. I believe that repenting heart was the reason God called him a man after his own heart.

But now let’s go to the new testament. Let’s look at Judas. He was a great friend and disciple of Jesus. He walked with Him during pretty much his whole ministry time on earth. But then the enemy tempted him with money and he accepted and he betrayed Jesus. Of course this created a big crack in their relationship. Later on, in the Apostles ,often the enemy attacks relationship through different theology and that kept going pretty much till today. He uses something that can be good and drives it between us to destroy our relationships. Now these were some examples from different stories in the bible, but I think every story of sin in the bible is going against relationship.

Read the Stories I described on the top and get your own picture of the importance of relationship. With the next Blog I will talk more on how relationships got attacked in the last 200 years and what we can actively do!

Worum geht es dem Teufel wirklich? Teil 1

Question markOftmals erhielt ich Worte der Ermutigung als auch prophetische Worte von verschiedenen Menschen die davon sprachen wie signifikant die Arbeit ist die wir machen und in der wir andere unterrichten. An einem Morgen bin ich mit einem tieferen Verständnis dafür aufgewacht. Lass mich in dieser Woche damit anfange und dich ein wenig durch die Bibel führen um es zu erklären.

Als Gott uns erschaffen hat, erschuf er uns für Beziehung mit Ihm und Mitmenschen. Als der Teufel Adam und Eva mit der Frucht in Versuchung führte, was war sein Plan? Er wollte dass die 2 aus dem Garten entfernt wurden, aber viel wichtiger, er wollte einen Bruch in die Beziehung der beiden als auch in Ihre Beziehung mit Gott bringen. Als nächstes sehen wir die Situation mit Kain und Abel.  Kain erschlägt Abel aus Eifersucht. Er war eifersüchtig das sein Bruder eine bessere Beziehung mit Gott hatte, und anstatt seine eigene Beziehung zu verbessern, tötet er seinen Bruder so dass er nicht mehr seine gute Beziehung sehen musste. Was sagt Kain nachdem ihn Gott fragt wo sein Bruder ist? Seine Antwort ist: Soll ich meines Bruders Hüter sein? Lass uns weitergehen zum Turmbau von Babel. Der Teufel ermutigt die Menschen dem gleichen nachzugehen das er wollte, Gott zu sein. Sie fingen an einen Turm zu bauen der zum Himmel reichte um zu zeigen das sie großartiger wie Gott sind. Sie vergasen das Gott ihnen alles gab und sie unendlich liebte, aber nein sie wollen Ihn überrumpeln und grösser sein wie Er. Gott stoppt sie, und ich bin mir sicher dass er traurig darüber war wie er sie stoppte, er gab jedem eine andere Sprache, was Beziehung noch viel schwieriger macht. Wie kann man eine gute Beziehung haben wenn man sich nicht versteht.

Ein weiteres Beispiel ist David. David beging Ehebruch mit der Frau einer seiner Soldaten. An diesem Tag passieren 3 Dinge. Er bricht das Eheversprechen zu seiner Frau, als auch das Eheversprechen das sein Soldat mit dieser Frau hatte. Und er bringt einen Bruch in die Beziehung zwischen ihm und Gott. David versucht nun alles wieder zu reparieren, aber es klappt nicht und 2 Menschen sterben, der Soldaten Ehemann und das Kind das er mit dieser Frau gezeugt hat. Aber nachdem der Prophet zu Ihm kam, bereut er seine Tat von ganzem Herzen und bittet Gott um Vergebung und repariert damit den Bruch in seiner Beziehung mit Gott. Ich glaube das dieses Herz der Reue der Grund war wieso ihn Gott später einen Mann nach seinem Herzen nannte.

Aber lasst uns nun ins Neue Testament gehen und damit zu Judas. Er war ein guter Freund und Jünger Jesu. Er folgte Ihm praktisch während seiner gesamten Mission Zeit auf dieser Erde. Aber dann führte ihn der Teufel durch Geld in Versuchung, welches er akzeptierte  und dann Jesus seinen Freund verriet. Ganz klar hat dies einen Bruch in dieser Beziehung erzeugt. Später, während der Zeit der Apostel, griff der Teufel oftmals Beziehungen durch verschiedene Theologien an, was bis heute anhielt. Er bringt etwas zwischen uns das eigentlich gut ist und benutzt es um unsere Beziehungen zu schwächen oder zu zerstören. Nun waren dies einige Beispiele von Geschichten aus der Bibel, aber ich glaube das jede Geschichte über Sünde auch eine Geschichte gegen Beziehung ist.

Lese die Geschichten die ich oben beschrieben habe und mach dir ein eigenes Bild von der Wichtigkeit von Beziehung. Mit dem naechsten Blog gehe ich dann noch mehr darauf ein wie Beziehungen in den letzten 200 Jahren attacktiert wurden und wie jeder einzelne von uns das Blatt wenden kann.
