Here is the Love your neighbor monthly tip – Offer to help carry groceries in

Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to offer a neighbor to help carry the groceries in! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Hi our friend

It was so wonderful to spend time with our YWAM Community during our twice a year Review and Eval last week. Having time with them and get new perspective and encouragement is such a blessing. We all need a community like that. We want to encourage you to find a community that encourages you and helps you grow. Outside of that special time we had a pretty usual week.

How was your week?

We also want to keep encouraging you to keep praying with us for the things going on in the world. Let us all make a difference in small things like with the monthly love your neighbor tip to carry a neighbors groceries inside for them. Small things like these change our neighborhoods and if we all do them those small things will change the world!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Philemon

In that letter, Paul challenges the thinking about cultural norms at the time. Let it inspire your thinking too!!

Hi our friend

Our last week was a week of teaching, preparation, encouragement and prayer. On Sunday I was speaking at our church about Loving your neighbor. It was encouraging to hear back from people how they felt encouraged and challenged. Then we started to prep more for the upcoming workshop on March 12th. If you are free we would love for your to join! It will be held on zoom from 10am to 1pm pst. Click here to get to the registration page. During our week we were also able to encourage different people in our community which was a real blessing. But prayer still had a major role this week. Staying connected with the father and hearing his heart is so important especially in this season. We want to encourage you to first of all connect with Father God on a personal level and let him speak and encourage you. Then spend time in Prayer this week for all the things going on in the world on a bigger scale, but also for your neighborhood and neighbors!!

Also spend time to read the book of Philemon and let it inspire your thinking!

God bless you

Stories to think about – Esther make a difference where you are

Our story today is about Esther who made a huge difference in her position. Be inspired. You find her story in the book of Esther!

Hi our friend

Last week was a week with many emotions for us. We had joy celebrating the wedding of our friends which was such a wonderful time. Later in the week, we got encouragement and a new perspective in moving forward through meeting with different leaders. Then we heard about the situation in Russia/Ukraine and were filled with sadness for many of our friends from there.  Even we can’t directly do something in that situation in the physical, we as followers of Jesus got the great opportunity to pray and change things in the spiritual. Often we don’t know how to pray in situations like this, so lets let the Holy Spirit guide us. Join us in praying.

Esther was called in a kings palace to make a difference in the time she lived! Where are you called to make a difference, especially in this time?

God bless you

A journey through the bible Esther

I love the book of Esther and its implication that God can use one person to change the world for many. Its very inspiring to read and hear about her life and how she made such a difference! Be inspired by the video introduction into the book and of course then by reading it too!!

Hi our friend

San Francisco experiences such a beautiful month with sunshine and warmth. That opens the door for many to connect outside in the park or just walk around in the neighborhood. Just by doing that too, we were able to connect with different people that we haven’t seen for a while either. Our church had the monthly love the city event as well and that is always a wonderful way to pray together and also encourage people we meet while being outside. Jen was able to meet many new moms and nannies in the neighborhood parks and encourage them while Caleb got to play with their children and make his first friends. A win win. During the last week we also had quite a few meetings between a board we are part of and YWAM. Each were encouraging. Caleb is also doing well. He tries to say his first words while smiling and has lots of fun with a little ball friends from Germany send us. So we had a good week here! How was yours?

Also remember today and for the rest of your life that you like Esther are as well born for a time like this.

God bless you

Our tip for this month is to talk with neighbors about how to make the neighborhood better! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Hi our friend

How are you?

One of the things I have seen over and over again is the need of belonging and being loved. The Pandemic magnified that need even more than ever before. It doesn’t matter which gender, social status or nationality, just to name a few, everyone needs it. Through things like a conversation out on the sidewalk or on the kids playground, a phone call or having a meal together we have been able to give and receive that in the last week. When I think of Jesus and his disciples I can see how he calls them to follow him and invites them into his life. He gives them a place to belong, be loved and a place to grow. I want to encourage you to connect with neighbors in simple ways and show them love and out of that give them a place to belong and be blessed in return with it too.

Our love your neighbor tip for this month could actually be a good starter for that too. So Organize a time to talk with neighbors about how to improve the neighborhood together!

God bless you
