We hope you had a fantastic week!! I love those little divine encounters that God opend up for Jen and me during the week. Just through being there and doing our usual things God gave us the opportunity to encourage multiple people. All we needed to do was being aware of the people around us. And at the end both of us felt encouraged ourselves through those times. We want to encourage you to be open to let God use you to bring hope to others in your everyday life!

Also spend some time to think and pray about where you are at and how to move forward from knowing off Him to knowing Him

Wir hoffen, du hattest eine fantastische Woche!! Ich liebe diese Begegnungen, die Gott im Laufe der Woche für Jen und mich ermöglicht hat. Allein dadurch, dass wir dort waren und unsere üblichen Dinge taten, gab Gott uns die Möglichkeit, mehrere Menschen zu ermutigen. Alles, was wir tun mussten, war, uns der Menschen um uns herum bewusst zu sein. Und am Ende fühlten wir uns beide durch diese Zeit ermutigt. Wir möchten dich ermutigen, offen dafür zu sein, dass Gott dich gebrauchen will um anderen in Ihrem Alltag Hoffnung zu bringen!

Vergiss auch nicht etwas etwas Zeit damit zu verbringen nachzudenken und zu beten und stelle dir  die Frage wo du stehst und wie du weiter vorwärts gehst von wissen von Ihm zum Ihn zu kennen!

Hi our friend

We hope you had wonderful 4^th of July week. We had a wonderful bbq with neighbors here. It was awesome. What we loved most about it is that neighbors met each other that didn’t know each other previously. It was wonderful to see new connections being established in our community. This bbq showed us again that it is important for having a neighborhood that knows each other to have a place where neighbors can connect naturally with each other. Think about how your home can be a place like that for your neighborhood!

Also don’t forget to look at your life this week and ask yourself where your trust is in!

Hallo unser Freund/in

Wir hoffen, du hattest eine wundervolle Woche. Wir hatten hier ein wunderbares Grillfest am 4 Juli mit Nachbarn. Was uns am meisten daran gefallen hat, ist, dass Nachbarn aufeinander trafen, die sich vorher nicht kannten. Es war wunderbar zu sehen, wie in unserem Block neue Verbindungen geknüpft wurden. Dieses Grillfest hat uns erneut gezeigt, dass es für eine Nachbarschaft, die sich kennt, wichtig ist, einen Ort zu haben, an dem Nachbarn auf natürliche Weise miteinander in Kontakt treten können. Denken darüber nach, wie dein Zuhause ein solcher Ort für dein Wohngebiet sein kann!

Vergiss auch nicht diese Woche auf dein Leben zu schauen und dir die Frage zu stellen worin dein Vertrauen liegt

We hope you had a wonderful week!

What a good week! Jen got a chance to go to a leaders meeting of different ministry leaders and Pastors in San Francisco. It was a wonderful time of sharing and brainstorming together how to be Jesus hand and feet in the city. It is wonderful that times like this exist since it creates collaboration, sparks ideas and brings the body of Christ together. Times like that are also special since each one that comes sees that they are not alone. Think about your town and maybe ways how different churches, ministries and individual believers could have a meetup to talk with each other how to make a difference in your town.

Also start this week, as we talked about in the video blog, to find others who want to read the bible together with you and spend time to talk about it!!

Hallo Freunde

Wir hoffen das du eine gute Woche hattest!

Was für eine gute Woche! Jen hatte die Möglichkeit an einem Leiter Treffen von Pastoren Leitern von verschiedenen christlichen Organisationen in San Francisco teilnehmen. Es war eine wundervolle Zeit des gegenseitigen Austauschs und des gemeinsamen Brainstormings darüber, wie man Jesus Hände und Füße in der Stadt sein kann. Es ist wunderbar dass es Zeiten wie diese gibt, denn sie öffnen die Tür für Zusammenarbeit, regen Ideen an und bringen den Leib Christi zusammen. Eine weitere tolle Sache daran ist das jeder der kommt ermutigt wird indem die Gemeinschaft gesehen wird. Überlege dir wie du in deiner Stadt die verschiedenen Kirchen, Dienste und einzelne Nachfolger Jesus zusammen bringen kannst um sich miteinander auszutauschen wie sie zusammen einen Unterschied in deiner Stadt machen können.

Fange diese Woche auch an andere zu finden die die Bibel mit dir zusammen lesen können und mit denen du dich dazu austauschen kannst!

Hi our friend

How are you? We hope wonderful!

During our last week Caleb caught a cold which then limited us a bit especially with connecting with families in the park. But we were able to connect with others and get other things done that needed  to get done which was a blessing. We were also able to spend extra time with Caleb inside the house which he felt really blessed about. Also all of us felt we got a bit of extra rest through the situation. Yes it was first a bit frustrating that we couldn’t do the things we planned but then God turned the frustration into a blessing for all of us. One thing I want to encourage you with this week is to always look for the good in every situation. It’s easy to find the negative and let that lead to frustration and have your full focus on that. But what if we instead of looking at that look at God and let him help us to focus our eyes on the good? When you do that it will change your perspective and also puts your focus on God. I love that in the Psalms how David even in the hardest situations tried to keep his focus on God and his goodness. Lets all do that too!!

Also don’t forget to connect with your neighbors by humbly asking for help!

Hallo unser Freund/in

Wie geht es dir? Wir hoffen wunderbar!

Während unserer letzten Woche hat sich Caleb eine Erkältung zugezogen, was uns dann ein wenig einschränkte, speziell mit treffen mit Familien im Park. Aber wir konnten mit anderen in Kontakt treten und andere Dinge erledigen, die erledigt werden mussten, was ein Segen war. Wir hatten auch die Möglichkeit, zusätzliche Zeit mit Caleb im Haus zu verbringen, worüber er sich wirklich gefreut hat. Außerdem hatten wir alle das Gefühl, dass wir durch die Situation etwas mehr auftanken konnten da wir eine kleine Pause bekommen haben. Ja, es war zunächst etwas frustrierend, dass wir nicht die Dinge tun konnten, die wir geplant hatten, aber dann verwandelte Gott die Frustration in einen Segen für uns alle. Eine Sache, mit der ich dich diese Woche ermutigen möchte, ist, in jeder Situation immer nach dem Guten zu suchen. Es ist leicht das Negative zu finden, es zu Frustration führen zu lassen und sich voll und ganz darauf zu konzentrieren. Aber was wäre, wenn wir anstatt diesen Ausblick zu haben, auf Gott schauen und uns von ihm helfen lassen würden, unseren Blick auf das Gute zu richten? Wenn du das tust, wird es deine Perspektive verändern und auch deinen Fokus auf Gott richten. Ich liebe es, wie David in den Psalmen versuchte, sich auch in den schwierigsten Situationen auf Gott und seine Güte zu konzentrieren. Lasst uns das auch alle tun!!

Vergiss diese Woche auch nicht mit deinen Nachbarn in Verbindung zu kommen indem du sie um Hilfe bittest!
