[:en]Today I want to share with you a few nuggets out of the books of Corinthians. I love those letters since they give in such a simple way many foundations for many life areas! Be encouraged!!

All of us need community us included. And over the years we started to build it in different places like our neighborhood, YWAM and our church. One of them as an example is our church small group and we just have to say we love our church small group. It’s always so wonderful to connect with each other (still on zoom) and encourage each other. Our group is small but everyone became family to each other. This happened over time not in a moment. But its time well spend! We want to encourage you to invest time into relationships with people in your church, your neighbors and maybe work colleagues. It will take some effort on your side first but the blessing you and everyone involved gets out of it outweighs all of that! Start today

Also don’t forget to read the book of 1.-2. Corinthians and let Holy Spirit show you what things are important from it for your life right now!

 [:de]Ich möchte heute mit dir einige Highlights aus den Korinther Briefen teilen. Ich liebe diese Briefe da sie sehr gute Wegweiser viele Bereiche in unserem Leben sein können. Sei ermutigt!!

Hallo unser Freund/in

Jeder von uns braucht Gemeinschaft inklusiv uns. Über die Jahre bauten wir sie an verschiedenen Stellen auf, in unserem Wohngebiet, in YWAM und in unserer Gemeinde. Eine davon als Beispiel ist unsere Small Group in unserer Kirche. Es ist immer ein Segen miteinander zusammen zu sein (wenn auch auf Zoom im letzten Jahr) und sich gegenseitig zu ermutigen. Unsere Gruppe ist klein aber jeder wurde wie Familie füreinander. Dies passierte nicht auf einmal, nein es brauchte Zeit. Aber dies ist Zeit gut investiert. Wir möchten dich ermutigen Zeit in Beziehungen zu investieren mit Menschen in deiner Gemeinde, deinen Nachbarn und vielleicht auch Arbeitskollegen. Dies bedeutet zuerst etwas Anstrengung und Mühe für dich aber den Segen den du und die anderen dadurch erleben können ist viel grösser wie alle Mühe!! Fang noch heute an!

Vergiss auch nicht die 2 Korinther Briefe zu lesen und dir vom heiligen Geist zeigen zu lassen was für dein Leben daraus gerade wichtig ist.

[:en]One statement that describes Joshua very well is the one he made: As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. He was a man who looked at God for guidance and then out of that lead the Israelites. Let us give you an overview and some inside into the book with this video blog.

How was your week?

This week was special for me (Markus) since I got to celebrate the first father’s day with Caleb. I just love that little boy so much!! He is such a joy and I love being his Dad!!

Outside of that it was a wonderful week too. Life goes more and more back to normal which is awesome! We love it a lot to connect with people more and more face to face again after long times on the screen last year. Don’t get me wrong it was a blessing to connect with the screens but real life is just better. Make sure to use the opportunities you get to connect with neighbors and be blessed through it!!

Also spend time to read the book of Joshua and let it encourage you, that you can go forward courageous with god!

Wie war deine Woche?

Diese Woche war eine spezielle Woche für mich (Markus) da ich den ersten Vatertag (in Amerika wird dieser an einem anderen Tag gefeiert wie in Deutschland) mit Caleb feiern durfte. Ich liebe unseren kleinen Jungen! Er bringt so viel Freude und ich liebe es sein Vater zu sein!!

Außerdem war unsere Woche auch gut. Das Leben kehrt mehr und mehr zur Normalität zurück was super ist. Wir lieben es mit Menschen direkt gegenüber voneinander ins Gespräch zu kommen, da dies so lange nur über einen Bildschirm stattfand. Versteht mich nicht falsch der Bildschirm war ein Segen aber sich mit jemandem direkt in Person zu treffen ist einfach immer noch besser. Nutze die Chancen die du hast um mit Nachbarn in Verbindung zu kommen und sieh was es für ein Segen es auch für dich sein kann!!

Vergiss auch nicht das Buch Josua zu lesen. Lass dich dadurch ermutigen das wir mit Gott mutig vorwärtsgehen können.

[:en]Today I want to give you a little intro to the book of Romans. I really love how Paul shares his heart with people and really speaks into the life of that community. It’s also interesting how it is as relevant today as it was then.

We hope you had a fantastic week!!  We hope you got to encourage a fellow believer and be encouraged through that too!!

Over the last while we have been working on many different projects for love your neighbor and now God helped us to bring all of those under one umbrella which is amazing. I am often amazed how God connects things in a way we never can. As an encouragement to you if God calls you to do something and it doesn’t make sense in the moment do it anyway he already knows how it will connect. During the last week we also got to connect with many more neighbors outside on walks and also while doing everyday things like grocery shopping. Its amazing how simple it can be to connect, we just have to be out. We want to encourage you this week to go outside and connect with neighbors.

Also don’t forget to read the book of Romans and let God speak into your life through it!

Markus and Jen[:de]Heute möchte ich dir ein kleines Intro in das Buch der Römer  geben. Ich liebe Wie Paulus sein Herz mit den Römern teilt und direkt in ihr Leben spricht. Es ist auch genial zu sehen wie es heutzutage so relevant ist wie es damals war. Viel Spaß mit diesem Video Blog!

Wir hoffen du hattest eine super Woche!! Wir hoffen das du jemanden ermutigen konntest und auch von jemand selber ermutigt wurdest.

In der letzten Zeit arbeiteten wir an mehreren Projekten für Love your neighbor und nun kamen sie alle mit Gottes Leitung unter einen Hut. Ich bin jedes Mal wieder ermutigt und erstaunt wie Gott Dinge auf einem Weg zusammen bringt wie wir es niemals tun könnten. Als eine Ermutigung an dich: Wenn Gott dir etwas aufträgt das für dich in diesem Moment keinen Sinn macht, mache es trotzdem und sei gespannt darauf wie er es am Ende verbindet und nutzt!!

In der letzten Woche konnten wir wieder viele Nachbarn draußen treffen in dem wir z.B. auf dem Weg zum Lebensmittel Laden waren oder auch einfach draußen waren. Es ist genial wie einfach es sein kann mit Nachbarn in Verbindung zu kommen in dem wir nur einfach nach draußen gehen. Wir möchten dich diese Woche ermutigen nach draußen zu gehen und mit Nachbarn in Kontakt zu kommen!!

Vergiss auch nicht den Römerbrief zu lesen und dadurch Gott direkt zu dir sprechen zu lassen.

[:en]Deuteronomy is in a sense a book of remembrance and guidance. Its almost like a best off Album of Moses. We will give you a little introduction into it in this video blog

How was your week?

Last week felt like summer arrived and now it feels again as if the winter came back. San Francisco is such an interesting place with its extreme temperature changes. By the way, they can happen by just walking from one neighborhood to another lol. Besides the colder weather, we had a great week. Jen and I celebrated our 9th anniversary which was awesome! We both can’t believe it’s already been 9 years. Time flies! During the week I was also able to get more of the material for the upcoming workshops streamlined which is a real blessing. And we got to connect with different people in our community which was awesome too!!

Also this week dont forget to read the book of Deuteronomy and see how God works through people!

Wie war deine Woche?

Die letzte Woche fühlte sich an als ob der Sommer ankam, aber nun kam der Winter wieder zurück. San Francisco ist ein sehr interessanter Ort mit extremen Temperatur Veränderungen. Dies kann man auch erleben wenn man nur von einem Stadtteil zum nächsten geht. Außer dem nun wieder kalten Wetter hatten wir eine super Woche. Jen und ich feierten unseren 9. Hochzeitstag was super war! Wir koenen es beide nicht glauben das es schon 9 Jahre sind. Die Zeit verfliegt! Während der Woche konnte ich das Material für die nächsten Love your neighbor workshops anpassen was ein wahrer Segen ist! Und wir konnten auch wieder mit etlichen in unserer Gegend in Verbindung kommen was super ist!!

Und vergiss diese Woche auch nicht das 5. Mose Buch zu lesen und sieh dadurch wie Gott durch Menschen wirkt!

[:en]Today I want to give you a little intro into the book of acts. I really love the stories of the disciples and how God moved through them. May it inspire you!!

We hope you had a fantastic week!! If not start remembering all the good moments you had that will help you to get perspective.

All 3 of us are doing well here in San Francisco. I am back at things since last week and it has been a bit different with Caleb around. He sometimes just wants to be held and who could deny such a wish 🙂 ! So sometimes he is in his carrier on my chest while i am working on the computer!

This coming season is also really exciting with multiple love your neighbor workshops coming up with churches in the San Francisco area. We are also doing a few more things with our neighborhood church which is exciting! Pray for wisdom for us in this season on how to get things done!

And as we saw in the book of acts Jesus called each one of us to the great commission. Step into it by loving your neighbor and neighborhood and by being a genuine friend to them.

Hallo unser Freund/in

Wir hoffen du hattest eine super Woche!! Falls nicht erinnere dich an all die guten Momente die du hattest das hilft dir Perspektive zu behalten.

Uns dreien geht es gut hier! Seit letzter Woche bin ich wieder voll dabei wenn dies mit Caleb auch ein wenig anders aussieht. Aber wer kann einem kleinen Baby einen Wunsch abschlagen gehalten zu werden. Manchmal habe ich ihn vorne mit einer Trage  angeschnallt waehrend ich am Computer arbeite und dies klappt ganz gut!

Diese naechste Zeit ist spannend fuer uns da wir mehrere Love your Neighbor Workshops mit Kirchen im Umkreis von San Francisco haben. Wir arbeiten auch mit unserer lokalen Gemeinde mehr zusammen um auch dort die Gemeindeglieder anzuleiten und zu ermutigen ihre Nachbarn zu lieben! Betet fuer Gottes Leitung fuer uns in dieser Zeit!

Und wie wir auch in der Apostelgeschichte sahen, Jesus hat jeden einzelnen zum Missionsbefehl berufen. Fang an in dem du deinen Nachbarn und deiner Wohngegend seine liebe zeigst und ein wahrer Freund bist.
