Jesus understands

Did you ever have a circumstance in your life where you felt nobody would totally understand you? Todays blog is about how Jesus understands all our life circumstances and situations. Be encouraged!!

Hi Friend

How was your week? Send us an update!!

What a great time we had all week with amazing people. After almost 3 years we got to see a family who are friends of ours. Caleb got to play with there kids and we got to catch up in the park. We don’t take times like that for granted and see each of them as a special blessing. We also got to welcome a new neighbor who just moved on our hill which was a blessing. Its so important to welcome new neighbors into our communities. It makes people wanted and cherished which is so important. We also got to help a few others in practical ways this week and had a wonderful dinner with a neighbor friend. We also worked on a promo video for the start of the new year in the love your neighbor series!! Make sure to like us on facebook or Instagram or join us on the love your neighbor network to join in!!

Have a blessed week and remember that Jesus understands you like no one else ever can!

Stories to think about – James and his life message

Our story today is about James and his life message. If you would like to read more about his life message you can in the book of James!

Hi our friend

One of my highlights this week was to prayer walk together with our church. We walked and prayed together for our Neighborhood. When you do it together it builds courage and as well as you get a better inside into the neighborhood since more then 2 ears are listening to God. If the weather is good talk to a friend from church and go for a prayer walk together!!

Also dont forget to read  the book of James and with that his life message. After reading it ask yourself what is your life message? When you know it then ask yourself how to share it with others and also teach them in it?

God bless you

A journey through the bible The book of Proverbs

Its so great to have you with us on this bible journey. This week we are looking at a book full of wisdom that can speak into every area of our life. Be encouraged and inspired!

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week. Our last week was really special. Jen and I celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary. We went out for a special dinner in our neighborhood to celebrate which was awesome! It’s important to celebrate special days in life to remember God’s faithfulness. Do you have a special day coming up soon? If celebrate it!

We also got to connect with multiple others this week through mentoring etc and it was also wonderful to see God move through those different encounters.

Caleb is also doing well. He recently started to clap his hands. It’s so wonderful how happy he is that he is able to clap together with dad when his children’s songs are playing.  He is such a joy!!

Also, don’t forget to read the book of Proverbs and let God speak into your life through the wisdom in it.

God bless you

Here is the Love your neighbor monthly tip – make a take what you need flyer

Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to make a “take what you need” flyer! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Hi our friend

How are you?

Our Summer is quickly approaching with mostly beautiful and sunny weather in the last week. That enabled us to host our small group in Washington Square park. Everyone brought a lunch and we had such a wonderful picnic time together. Summertime is a wonderful time to connect with neighbors and our communities outside. Most of us want to do that anyway so invite others along!

Also don’t forget our Love your neighbor monthly tip and make a “take what you need flyer” and hang it up!!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of James

The letter of James talks a lot about faith and action and how they go together. Be encouraged by this Intro into the book!

Hi our friend

The Month of May is here and with it another daily chance to encourage someone and bring hope. Over the last week, we had dinner with a friend who spends too much time in front of his TV. He told us how he watches the news and loses more and more hope. There are many people that probably feel the same way for understandable reasons. That is why it is so important, especially in this season, to have extra time with God so he can give us hope. Every time I spend time with God I can feel hope rising in me. Not that the circumstances always change, but I know that whatever is happening I am in his hands. I want to encourage you in this season to spend extra time with God and let Him refill you with hope, so you can bring His hope to others in your life that don’t know him.

Also, spend time to read the book of James and ask yourself in which areas your faith needs to be more in action!

God bless you
