We hope you had a wonderful week!

Community is such a blessing!! This week a friend from church watched Caleb for a few hours so we could go together through the next teaching for the love your neighbor class. It was such a blessing. We also had fun with another neighbor brunch which is a wonderful way to build community too!!

Also don’t forget if you are facing a challenging season in your life that brings you fear and makes you feel alone, lean into him and also let Psalm 139 speak to you.

Wir hoffen das du eine super Woche hattest!

Gemeinschaft ist so ein Segen! Diese Woche hat ein Freundin aus der Kirche ein paar Stunden auf Caleb aufgepasst, damit wir gemeinsam die nächste Lektion für den „Liebe deinen Nächsten“ Kurs durchgehen konnten. Es war so ein Segen. Wir hatten auch Spaß bei einem weiteren Nachbarschaftsbrunch. Diese Brunches sind auch eine wunderbare Möglichkeit Gemeinschaft aufzubauen!

Vergiss auch nicht: Wenn du vor einer herausfordernden Situation oder Zeit in deinem Leben stehst die dir Angst macht und dir das Gefühl gibt das du alleine bist, lehne dich an Gott und lass dich von Psalm 139 ermutigen.

I hope you had some time during the week leading up to Easter to reflect on all the things that happened during Holy Week and what Jesus did for us.  On Good Friday I was able to join a church service in our neighborhood. It was a time of deep reflection and deep-felt emotions to look at the cross, carried through the middle isle of the church, and remember how Jesus laid down his life for each one of us because of how much he loves us. But that was not the end. 2 days later it was a lot happier when we celebrate His resurrection. I love the most wonderful words Christians spoke to each other for so many years:

He is risen!!

He is risen indeed!!

I want to encourage you to remember how much you are loved!! We wish you a blessed Easter!!

Also don’t forget to ask Jesus to help you understand the resurrection fully so it does not just bring you a deeper understanding of it, but also brings so much joy that makes you want to share it with others around you!

Hallo unser Freund

Ich hoffe, du hattest in der Karwoche etwas Zeit, um über all die Dinge nachzudenken was Jesus für uns getan hat. Am Karfreitag konnte ich an einem Gottesdienst in unserer Nachbarschaft teilnehmen. Es war eine Zeit der tiefen Besinnung und bewegenden Emotionen, als wir auf das Kreuz blickten, das durch den Mittelgang der Kirche getragen wurde, und uns daran erinnerten, wie Jesus sein Leben für jeden von uns hingegeben hat – aus Liebe zu uns.

Aber das war nicht das Ende. Zwei Tage später war die Stimmung viel freudiger, als wir seine Auferstehung feierten. Ich liebe die wunderbaren Worte, die Christen sich seit so vielen Jahren zusprechen:

Er ist auferstanden!
Er ist wahrhaftig auferstanden!

Ich möchte dich ermutigen, dich daran zu erinnern, wie sehr du geliebt bist!

Wir wünschen dir ein gesegnete Osterfest!

Vergesse auch nicht Jesus zu bitten, dir zu helfen, die Auferstehung vollständig zu verstehen, damit du nicht nur ein tieferes Verständnis davon bekommst, sondern das dies dir auch so viel Freude bringt die du mit anderen in deinem Umfeld teilen möchtest!

We hope you had a wonderful week!

Last week I went on a quick walk around the block. Just by doing that I got into many wonderful conversations with different neighbors. Doing that for many years connects you with your neighbors in a deeper way and builds community. I want to encourage you to start today to walk around your neighborhood regularly and start having conversations with your neighbors.

Also don’t forget to ask yourself the question from the video. In which areas you not have the right expectations of Jesus?

Wir hoffen das du eine super Woche hattest!

Letzte Woche lief ich einige Runden um unseren Block. Allein dadurch habe ich viele wunderbare Gespräche mit verschiedenen Nachbarn geführt. Wenn man das über viele Jahre hinweg tut, vertieft man die Verbindung zu seinen Nachbarn und baut Gemeinschaft auf. Ich möchte dich ermutigen, noch heute damit zu beginnen, regelmäßig in deiner Nachbarschaft spazieren zu gehen und mit deinen Nachbarn ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Vergiss auch nicht dir die Frage vom Video zu stellen wo du vielleicht nicht dir richtigen Erwartungen an Jesus hast?
