How are you? Since we are so far away its hard to stay up to date with everyone. You are up to date with us through blog and newsletter but we would love to hear how you are doing. Drop us a quick line when you have time!!
Our week in San Francisco was a bit different. We had the fleet week in town and with that the big Italian heritage parade that went through our neighborhood. It brought many people together and brought many people to North beach. It’s a great way to invite neighbors to go to see the parade together. You can do that too, invite your neighbors to things you already do!! Our small groups we host at our house have been awesome too and a refresher for everyone who is part of it. So we are doing good here!
Remember we are not in competition with each other we have the same goal bringing people a step closer to Jesus!

Wie geht es Dir? Da wir recht weit weg sind ist es schwer mit jedem up to date zu sein. Du weißt ja wie es uns geht durch unsere Newsletter und den Blog, aber wir würden gerne auch hören wie es dir geht. Schreib uns ein paar Zeilen wenn du Zeit hast.
Unsere Woche in San Francisco war ein wenig anders wie normal. Wir hatten einen großen italienischen Umzug hier in unsere Wohngegend. Das brachte viele Menschen in die Gegend als auch die aus der Gegend auf die Straße. Es ist ein genialer Weg Nachbarn dazu einzuladen zusammen zu gehen. Du kannst das auch tun! Lade Nachbarn zu Dinge nein die du bereits tust!! Unsere Hauskreise und Kleingruppen die wir bei uns in der Wohnung halten waren ein Erfrischer als auch Ermutigter fuer alle Teilnehmer. Uns geht es gut hier!!
Vergiss diese Woche nicht wir arbeiten nicht gegeneinander sondern wir haben alle das gleiche Ziel das Menschen einen Schritt naeher zu Jesus kommen!

A little while ago we watched the Lion King and found so many principals that we are writing about!
Vor kurzem schauten wir uns den König der Löwen an und sahen so viele gute Prinzipals über die wir in den nächsten Wochen reden wollen.
14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5.14-16
14 Ihr seid das Licht der Welt. Es kann die Stadt, die auf einem Berge liegt, nicht verborgen sein. 15 Man zündet auch nicht ein Licht an und setzt es unter einen Scheffel, sondern auf einen Leuchter; so leuchtet es allen, die im Hause sind. 16 So lasst euer Licht leuchten vor den Leuten, damit sie eure guten Werke sehen und euren Vater im Himmel preisen. Matthäus 5. 14-16
Recently I was reading Psalm 9 and I love especially the beginning part. David shows us here the right outlook and perspective. In the moment he thanks God for things he did in his life and then also tells about his wonderful deeds his outlook is changing. It is moving away from maybe an outlook or perspective of fear or something else he is facing to God who has all the answers. While writing most of the Psalms David is going through some challenges in life. But instead of just looking what he can see with his eyes, he is looking at the things he cannot see. He is speaking courage to himself by reminding himself that he is on the side of the Most High!
Vor kurzem las ich Psalm 9 und der Anfang ist einfach super! David zeigt uns hier die richtige Blick Richtung und Perspektive. In dem Moment dankt er Gott für die Dinge die er in seinem Leben getan hat und erzählt von all den wunderbaren Taten Gottes und sein Blickwinkel ändert sich. Er bewegt sich dadurch weg von einer Perspektive der Angst oder vielleicht Problemen die in bewegen zu Gott der all die Antworten hat. David hat die meisten seiner Psalmen in Zeiten der Herausforderung geschrieben. Aber anstatt nur auf das zu schauen was er mit seinen Augen sehen kann, beschließt er auf den zu schauen den er nicht mit den Augen sieht. Er ermutigt sich selber indem er sich daran erinnert dass er auf der Seite des Allmächtigen steht!
