This week we are reading the book of Habakkuk. Habakkuk was coming to Israel as well as a prophet who is supposed to share that Gods people would be taken over by a nation that was not following God. That brought some deep cynicism up for him about God and his ways. But then God gives him a vision that restores his faith. Be inspired by this book that even if things don’t make sense to you to trust God.

We hope you had a good week!! We are gone this and next week to visit Jens “Jamaican Dad”. During her growing up years her and her family did a lot of mission work in Jamaica and through that this Jamaican family became family. He also officiated parts of our wedding. He is in his 90s now and we wanted to make sure he gets to meet Caleb. We are excited for this time and what God has in store for it.
Are there areas in your life where you became cynical with God and his ways? If ask him to help you in those and ask for his perspective.

Diese Woche lesen wir das Buch Habakuk. Habakuk kam als Prophet zu Gottes Volk mit einer Nachricht das sie von einer Nation übernommen werden die Gott nicht nachfolgt. Das brachte einen tiefen Zynismus in sein Leben über Gott und seine Wege. Aber dann gibt ihm Gott eine Vision welche seinen Glauben wieder stark macht. Werde durch das lesen dieses Buches inspiriert das selbst wenn Dinge keinen Sinn machen trotzdem Gott zu vertrauen.

Wir hoffen du hattest eine gute Woche!!
Wir hoffen ihr hattet eine gute Woche!! Wir sind diese und nächste Woche weg, um Jens „Jamaican Dad“ zu besuchen. Als Kind war sie mit ihrer Familie oft zu Missionseinsaetzen in Jamaica und dadurch wurde die Familie dort auch ihre Jamaikanische Familie. Er hat auch Teile unserer Trauung vollzogen. Er ist jetzt in seinen 90ern und wir wollten, dass er Caleb kennenlernt. Wir freuen uns auf diese Zeit und was Gott damit vorhat.
Hast du Bereiche in deinem Leben wo du zynisch mit Gott und seinen Wegen wurdest? Bitte ihn darum dir darin zu helfen und frage ihn für seine Perspektive!

When you read the book Nahum you hear again about a famous city called Nineveh. Jonah went there a long time before to ask them to repent and they did but now they are back to their old ways and Nahum has to share a grimmer and final message. May the book of Nahum speak to you.
Wenn du das Buch Nahum liest, hörst du wieder von einer bekannten Stadt, Ninive. Jona ging vor langer Zeit in diese Stadt und nach seiner Nachricht kehrten die Menschen um. Nun sind sie aber wieder zu ihren alten Wegen zurück gekehrt und Nahum muss nun eine Finale Nachricht bringen. Möge das Buch Nahum zu dir sprechen.
Today we arrived at the Prophet Micah in our bible journey. He preached the message of how sin leads to destruction and for people to come back to the law of Moses. Again Micah speaks about judgment but also about God forgiving the people when they repent. Micah also describes the coming time where the messiah will shepherd his people and things will change. May this book speak into your life as well.
Heute sind wir Buch Micha angekommen auf unserer Reise durch die Bibel. Er war ein Prophet der ein Nachricht predigte wie Sünde zu Zerstörung des Lebens führt und wie die Menschen wieder zu den Regelungen von Mose zurückkommen sollen. Micha spricht über Verurteilung von Gott aber auch davon das Gott vergeben wird, wenn Menschen umkehren und um Vergebung bitten. Micha spricht auch vom Messias und wie er als Schaefer nach seinen Menschen schauen wird und sich dann Dinge ändern. Möge dieses Buch auch in dein Leben sprechen!
From childhood on, we heard the famous story of Jonah and the fish. He is one of the really famous prophets. But he ran away from his calling because he actually didn’t want God to have compassion on that town. It also showed that God’s compassion is not exclusive for Israel but also for others! May by reading this book we have more compassion for people.
Seit unserer Kindheit hörten wir wahrscheinlich die Geschichte von Jona und dem Fisch. Er ist einer der sehr bekannten Propheten. Aber er rannte von Gott und seinem Auftrag da er nicht wollte das Gott Gnade für die Stadt zeigt zu der er gehen sollte. Es zeigte auch das Gottes Gnade nicht nur fuer Israel ist sondern er auch Gnade fuer andere Voelker hat. Mögen wir durch das lesen dieses Buches mehr Gnade wie Gott für Menschen haben.
I love how the name Obadiah in Hebrew means worshipper and he worships god by following the things God calls him to do. He came as a prophet to share for one part a message to the Edomite’s, who were enemies of Israel for a long time. Again another man who follows Gods calling on his life. May the book speak to you.
Der Name Obadja in Hebräisch heißt Lobpreiser und er tut genau dies indem er den Auftrag den Gott ihm gab folgt. Er kam als ein Prophet der Gottes Nachricht zu einem Feindes Stamm von Israel brachte. Wieder ein Mann der Gottes Berufung in seinem Leben folgt. Möge dieses Buch zu dir sprechen.
