Hello friend

We wish you a happy Thanksgiving!!

First of all thanks for your prayers I am feeling a lot better. Jen and Caleb still have a bit of a cough but that will hopefully pass soon too!! It was wonderful connecting with Dads this week through a school thanksgiving event. It is so wonderful doing life together with other dads and being able to encourage each other. We also started to get ready for Thanksgiving. We are looking forward celebrating together with different neighbors. What are your plans? Share in the comments.

We hope you got encouraged through the video about thankfulness. Start to implement into your life a daily stop to remember what you are thankful for that day and general and thank God for it. It’s probably best to do that at the end of your day!

We hope you had a great week!

Its amazing how much admin stuff you can get done while beeing stuck sick in bed. I got almost everything done that needed to get done which is wonderful. I also had extra time to pray whcih was a real blessing. However, i still look forward to beeing out of bed and be with people again. Keep us in your prayers for quick full recovery! Thanks friends!!

And here’s something to think about from the video. If you have a wrong perception of God in the area of discipline and love we want to encourage you to read the gospels and especially about his love. Also ask him to bring healing from any area where you got punished in the wrong way by any person in authority and where it gives you a wrong perspective about Him!

We hope you had a great week!

When you create a space where conversation can happen, it most likely will happen. We have seen that so many times with our brunches just like the one we hosted last weekend. Neighbors connected with each other in deeper conversation and leave encouraged. And neighbors help each other since they now know each other with simple tasks. This would not happen without a space where people have the opportunity to connect. We want to encourage you to think about starting a monthly neighbor brunch on a Saturday morning to bring your neighbors together!

And here’s a little encouragement form the video. Look more into the prophetic words about Jesus in the old testament and how they came to pass a long time later. Let it deepen your faith.

How was your week?

Last Sunday we were invited to preach at a church in the city on loving your neighbor. It was a wonderful time and at the end I had some great conversations with some people in the church. I love when God opens the door to inspire and encourage others in loving their neighbor.

And here’s a little reminder from the video: If something is holding you back from doing the things God has for you, bring it to Him and let Him encourage, confirm, and strengthen you.

Once a week I go on a prayer walk around the neighborhood. I usually walk around different parts of the neighborhood and pray for things I see, God puts on my heart or people directly. Doing a prayer walk gives your greater inside into the needs of your neighborhood and the things that are on Gods heart for it. While prayer walking you often also run into neighbors and can get into wonderful conversations. We want to encourage you to start prayer walking your neighborhood!

Also a reminder from the video: If we are desperate for something lets always go first to Jesus and ask him what to do.
