Redemption part 23: Discipleship sending them out

Jesus called us to go into all the world to make disciples, but how does that look like. Today we want to talk about the third part sending them out and how. Be inspired!

Hi our friend

How was your week? We hope wonderful!

I don’t know if you have sometime a hard time finding a quiet place, but I do at times living in the city (especially now with a running around toddler J ). Years ago, I noticed that one of the places that is often peaceful and quiet are catholic churches. Usually they are open during the day and you can just go there to pray and be still. So when Jen mentioned it I went to drown out the noise of the city and just spend time in his presence in a quiet place, our local catholic church. I want to encourage you too to find a quiet place to go to from time to time and get refreshed.

Also, as we talked about in Part 3 in the video blog on discipleship, ask yourself the question how can you send the people out you discipled and still keep walking with them in that process?

God bless you

Markus, Jen and Caleb

Redemption part 22: Discipleship teaching through living it

Jesus called us to go into all the world to make disciples, but how does that look like. Last week we talked about discipling through words. This week its about teaching through living what we teach. Be inspired!

Hi our friend

WE hope you had a wonderful week!! After many delays (Caleb being sick, then bad weather and then Jen being sick), we finally got to celebrate Calebs birthday with different families in the park. It was such a wonderful time that brought different people together for a potluck and celebration. Later in the week Jen got to connect with some mom friends she made in an online Moms group during Calebs 1st year. Its wonderful to see how family brought relationships we didn’t have before and connected us with others in the neighborhood. We are praying that God will show his love to each one of them through our relationships with them.

As we talked about in Part 2 in the video blog on discipleship, lets ask ourself the question are we living out the things we are preaching and if not how can we do it ?

God bless you

Markus, Jen and Caleb

Redemption part 21: Discipleship teaching through words

Jesus called us to go into all the world to make disciples, but how does that look like. Over the next 3 weeks I will share 3 areas that are key. This week its about teaching with words. Be inspired!

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!!

Technology can be such a blessing. A few years ago it would have not been possible to speak to a group thousands of miles away and later that day to a local group. Last Friday exactly that happened. I was able to share with a youth group in Germany which was a lot of fun and then later in the day I got to share with a group right downtown in San Francisco. Technology made the world smaller and also opened the door for the good news to spread in a way like never before. Ask yourself the question how you can use technology to bring the good news to people.

As we talked about in Part 1 in the video blog on discipleship, ask yourself the question who you can disciple with words and who disciples you with words?

God bless you

Markus, Jen and Caleb

Redemption part 20: Reinstated

How would you feel if you let down your best friend in a moment he really needed you? But what if that best friend forgives you and reinstates you and lets you still be part of his plans? This is the story we talk about today. You find it in John 21:15-19

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!!

Ours was full of wonderful times with people. Since we had some wonderful weather all of us got to go outside more and connect with neighbors. Its amazing how many wonderful conversations you can have by just walking around the block 3 or 4 times. Its so simple. We want to encourage you to do that in your neighborhood too!

Also along with the video blog we want to encourage you that you are not disqualified and that Jesus wants you to be part in building the kingdom.

God bless you

Markus, Jen and Caleb

Redemption part 19: The Win

If good Friday would have been the end of the story it would have been a very sad ending. But today we hear about that it was not the end! Let it bring you hope and joy like it brought the ones that encountered Jesus after he rose. You can read about it in John 20

Hi our friend

First of all, we wish you a blessed and happy Easter. He is risen!! We hope you get to or got to celebrate the good news of the resurrection with friends and family! We also want to encourage you to spend some time thinking about the good news of Jesus rising from the dead. Think about what that means for you and your life. And then make sure to share the good news with someone who hasn’t heard yet!!

God bless you

Markus, Jen and Caleb
