Stories to think about – Stephen

Our Story today is about a man named Stephen! You can read his story in Acts 6.8 -7.60!

Hi our friend

How are you?

We had a good week here in San Francisco. Walking through our neighborhood while prayer walking shows more and more how life is a bit back to normal again. People are in the park and restaurants spending time together which is wonderful. I don’t know how it looks like in your area, but its definetly a good time to get out and start praying for your neighborhood. Pray that people that were isolated for a long time will be able to reconnect and that hope comes back to the ones who might have lost it. Also just pray whatever God puts on your heart for your area.

We personally get also more and more adjusted to the new life with Caleb around. He is such a joy to be with and enriches our life. Also be encouraged this week by the story of Stephen and let it encourage you to share your faith with joy!!

God bless you

Stories to think about – Time to come home

Our Story today is about a young man who is ready to come home. You will find it in Luke 15.11-22

Hi our friend

How are you?

Jen and i are getting ready for our little boy to arrive soon and are wrapping up all things that need to get done before and also rest a bit before he comes. God really helped us in this season to focus on the right priorities and guided us to get them done. Its so good beeing led by our loving father. Very fitting to our blog video this week as well.

SO dont forget to think this week about your perspective of God, do you see him as the loving Father who wants his child to come home or as the one who can’t wait to punish you? Read the story of the Prodigal son and let God show you his true heart for you!

God bless you

Stories to think about – Moses strength together

Our story today is about Mose and how he found extra strength with the help of others. Be encouraged!

Hi our friend

How are you?

Between Prayer meetings, board meetings on top of all the usual weekly stuff it ended up being a busy week. We loved it but were both a bit surprised how quick the week went by. This season is exciting for us on so many levels. We got more and more open doors to inspire people to love their neighbors and also to guide them on the how. Then we are getting ready for our baby son who will arrive around April 3rd. With all that excitement and wonderful things happening its even more important to get Gods guidance in how to maneuver everything. Like with Mose we just have to ask for help!! Lets all learn that in this season from Moses that its ok to ask for help especially as a leader!!

God bless you

Take a journey through the bible with us and be encouraged through a story to think about

Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a greater understanding of the bible and the context of things? Wouldn’t it even be better if you would have read through the whole book? Join us for the next 29 months to do that. Every month we will look at a book from the old and from the new testament with a time of 2 weeks in between to read it. I will post a video on it with different things about the book so you have some idea what it’s about before you start reading. Then you will read the book with someone you know (it doesn’t have to be at the same time or the same place) so you can share with each other what stuck out to you. This can be done via WhatsApp group or how ever, you want to connect. WE will start next week!

To be ready this is what you need:

  1. A bible a paper version not digital
  2. A highlighter pen so you can mark verses that stuck out to you
  3. A journal so you can write down your thoughts on each book
  4. A smartphone so you can look up things if you read a word or something else you don’t understand.
  5. A co reader find one person or a group of people that join you on this journey. Maybe your church small group or a friend? Create a WhatsApp group and then exchange your thoughts with each other.

WE are looking forward to have you join us on this journey.

We also have a little story to think about, for you this week. Its about Abraham and Lot. Be inspired!!
