We hope you are having a great week!!

We had a good week here in San Francisco. Jen was helping out at a big women’s conference online with women from all over the world. She had a wonderful time. It’s amazing how you can connect with the whole world online as a ministry platform. In the last week we also saw more and more things opening up in San Francisco like restaurants in our neighborhood. It feels a lot like in Europe now since people dine on tables outside on the sidewalks and the street. Besides those 2 new things we had a pretty usual week with many of the usual things.

Ask God daily to fill up your compassion Tank.

Changed and new Priorities

Over the last few months many of us were isolated in our homes cause of the virus. It changed in many ways the way we lived our lives and our daily priorities. In this video blog I want to look at how all of this can bring positive lasting change after this. Be inspired and encouraged.

How was your week?

Our week in San Francisco was good. We are preparing an online series on loving your neighbor and neighborhood with a weekly tip that everyone can do easily. Make sure to subscribe and follow our Love your neighbor Instagram @loveyourneighborsf or on Facebook under L-y-n to get the updates We also got to connect with people a lot during our morning runs which was super encouraging. Its such a simple way to stay in touch but also to do something good for your body too!! Try it out in your neighborhood in this coming season!!

Look at your priorities together with Jesus and ask him to help you reprioritize things that need to change!

Recharging Emotionally

A while ago I heard a sermon or read a devotional on today’s topic and I got some good points out of it that I want to share with you today. Be inspired!

How are you?

During the last week, we had our last Life of the beloved Book club which was super encouraging to all of us. At the end of our time, we spoke blessings over each person which was a real encouragement. There is real power in a spoken blessing. Also with all the things going on, we spend time in prayer to pray for our city and for reconciliation between people. We strongly believe that when we follow Jesus command to love our neighbor a lot of issues in our society can be fixed. When we love someone we listen to them and try to understand and always want the best for them. If they are hurting we are we are there for them. I want to encourage all of us to live out this command Jesus gave us!!

We hope you started well into June with the day of Pentecost last Sunday, the day when the disciples received the holy spirit in the book of acts. We are praying that God fills you and us new with his spirit.

Last week Jen and I were working on a teaching video for Mission Adventures (the youth group mission program of YWAM). In it, we are teaching on loving your neighbor and bringing the love of God into their communities. It’s important we all invest in the new generation like it also talks about in the bible as an example in Psalm 78.5-7. Another thing out of the normal was a social distancing birthday party in the park for a neighbor. It was fun! What special thing did you do during this week?

Start sharing your faith so more people have that joy knowing Jesus!

Walls that keep us from trust

This blog is again about our topic of the year “I believe, help me in my unbelieve”. Be encouraged and inspired!!

First of all we hope you had an awesome week!! May is almost over but there are still some days left to encourage people and bring the hope of Jesus!! Let us use any chance we get for this!!

We had a great week here in SF. It was warm and sunny for parts of it which is awesome!! Jen and I took some extended time to pray and spend time with God. Every time we have those extended times we ask ourselves why we don’t do it more often. The book club we started is so encouraging. Reading that book life of the beloved by Henri Nouwen together reminds us all of the love of God for us. Again I highly recommend you to read it too so you get reminded of how loved you are too!!

Don’t forget this week to ask God for the walls that hold you back in your life!!
