We wish you a blessed and happy new year!! We hope you had a wonderful start into it!
On New Years Day we baked a few German New year Brezels for some neighbor friends which was a lot of fun. It was a great way to bless our friends with a German new years tradition. Think about how you can bless your neighbors this year and then do it!! Depending when you read this you have about 360 days’ time to do that!
Here is also a quick step by step reminder from the video on how to reach the goal.
- set a goal that you are actually excited about: I want to run 15 miles by the end of the year.
- Then make it a clear goal that can be measured: goal is being able to run 15 miles by the end of the year.
- Then break down the goal in small junks: 1st month week 1 walk 1 mile, week 2 walk a little faster, week 3 jog the mile, week 4 run the mile. Do that for every month.
- Then make sure to look back and see how things are going and if you see something isn’t working think about why and make adjustments: I wasn’t able to walk in week 3 cause I had meetings all of those nights I planned to do it, so I moved it to different nights.
- Have someone that you can share with about your progress and who can encourage and challenge you.
By the end of the year you will look back and can say that you actually reached the goal!
Now the 3 goals I would like for you to set are:
- Set a daily bible reading time. Start a yearly plan on Youversion bible that fits the amount of time you want to read. If you want to read it together with a friend and write each other what spoke to you about the things you read
- Have a daily prayer time. Connect with Jesus personally and also let him speak to you through the scriptures you read. Also spend time to pray for others around you!
- Put into practice what Jesus called us to do: Love your neighbor! Do something every week were you build and deepen your relationships with your neighbors and that shows them that they are loved. If you need weekly tips follow us on Instagram: Loveyourneighborsf or on facebook: L-y-n
When you start doing that you will look back and notice how much closer you got to Jesus and your neighbors during the year and how your love for others increased!!

Wir wünschen dir ein frohes und gesegnetes Jahr! Wir hoffen das du einen guten Start hattest!
Am Neujahrstag backten wir einige Neujahrsbrezeln für einige Nachbarn was richtig Spaß gemacht hat. Diese Brezel Tradition war ein super Weg ein Segen für unsere Nachbarn zu sein. Denke darüber nach wie du ein Segen für deine Nachbarn sein kannst und dann tue es!! Abhängig davon wenn du dies liest, hast du etwa 360 Tage Zeit dafür!!
Hier noch einige Erinnerungs Schritte vom Video, wie man ein Ziel erreichen kann:
- Setze dir ein Ziel, das dich wirklich motiviert – zum Beispiel: „Ich möchte bis Ende des Jahres 15 Meilen laufen können.“
- Formuliere das Ziel klar und messbar: Das Ziel ist, bis Ende des Jahres in der Lage zu sein, 15 Meilen zu laufen.
- Teile das große Ziel in kleine, machbare Schritte auf:
- Im ersten Monat:
- Woche 1: 1 Meile spazieren
- Woche 2: etwas schneller gehen
- Woche 3: die Meile joggen
- Woche 4: die Meile laufen
So gehst du Monat für Monat weiter vor.
- Im ersten Monat:
- Überprüfe regelmäßig deinen Fortschritt. Wenn du merkst, dass etwas nicht funktioniert, frage dich warum und passe deinen Plan an:
Zum Beispiel: Ich konnte in Woche 3 nicht laufen, weil ich an den geplanten Abenden Termine hatte – also habe ich das Training auf andere Abende verschoben. - Suche dir eine Person, mit der du deine Fortschritte teilen kannst – jemand, der dich ermutigt und auch herausfordert.
Am Ende des Jahres wirst du zurückblicken und feststellen, dass du dein Ziel tatsächlich erreicht hast!
Hier sind drei Ziele, zu denen ich dich ermutigen möchte:
- Plane eine tägliche Zeit für das Bibellesen ein. Wähle in der YouVersion-Bibel-App einen Jahresplan, der zu deinem Zeitrahmen passt. Wenn du möchtest, lies ihn gemeinsam mit einer Freundin oder einem Freund und tauscht euch darüber aus, was euch besonders angesprochen hat.
- Nimm dir täglich Zeit zum Gebet. Suche die persönliche Verbindung zu Jesus und lasse Ihn auch durch die Bibel zu dir sprechen. Bete zudem ganz bewusst für Menschen in deinem Umfeld!
- Setze das in die Praxis um, was Jesus uns aufgetragen hat: Liebe deinen Nächsten! Nimm dir jede Woche vor, etwas zu tun, das deine Beziehungen zu deinen Nachbarn stärkt und ihnen zeigt, dass sie geliebt sind. Wenn du damit beginnst, wirst du am Ende des Jahres erkennen, wie viel näher du Jesus und deinen Mitmenschen gekommen bist – und wie deine Liebe für andere gewachsen ist.
