Here is the Love your neighbor monthly tip – Write an encouraging card or note

Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to write an encouraging card or note for your neighbors! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Hi our friend

How are you?

Our week here was a bit of a whirlwind. Jen attended a memorial of a friend from her book club with some very influential leaders in the city. She was able to share with everyone an experience her friend had with Jesus before she died. Everyone was encouraged. Then we had a second memorial for a friend who passed unexpectedly from our small group. He just got baptized in July and was so on fire for Jesus.  I want to ask you to keep all the people that attended the memorial where Jen shared and the family and friends of our small group in your prayers, especially in this time of their grief.

We also had some not so sad moments this week with a picnic with our encouragement group. We met all up together in the park and enjoyed each others company. It was a wonderful time.

Remember this week to write an encouraging card or note to your neighbor!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Ephesians

Today we want to look a bit at the book of Ephesians. Have fun and be inspired

Hi our friend

How was your week?

We had a wonderful sunny week here in San Francisco which made us able to go outside a few times which is awesome!!

We also started this week the 21 day Love your Neighbor challenge with the church we did the workshop last weekend and it is exciting to see how excited everyone is in participating. We give a daily tip on how to do it and they get started. The goal is to help everyone to making it a habit. It’s amazing what impact that can leave in the different neighborhoods. We will do another Love your neighbor Zoom workshop in the near future and would love for you to join! Send us a quick email that you are interested and we will send you details! Also the love your neighbor social network is growing which is exciting too. Outside of all the online things we got to also connect with people outside through lunch and walks which was a real blessing.

Also remember this week to read the book of Ephesians and be inspired.

God bless you

The fear of missing out on something

Today we want to talk about the fear of missing out on something. Be inspired!

Hi our friend

How was your week?

Its exciting to see how God keep opening doors to teach and encourage others in loving their neighbor. On Saturday we were invited to host a love your neighbor workshop at a church in the bay area and it was a wonderful time. Pray with us that each of the participants will apply what they learned about loving their neighbor right away into their life, while they do our after workshop 21 day challenge with their church. In the challenge they get a practical tip daily on how to love their neighbor, with different ways to do it, so they can put it right away into action. We also had a wonderful time with the twice a year YWAM bay area review and evaluation which was as usual encouraging. Its so good to hear from others and get some outside perspective.

We are also enjoying as a family the beautiful sunny weather we have right now to go on walks together.

Also dont forget the encouragment from the video above and start this week to commit and enjoy and not fear to miss out.

God bless you

Stories to think about – Ruth going to a foreign land

Our story today is about a lady name Ruth and going to a foreign land! You can read the story in the book of Ruth!

Hi our friend

During this last week we spend extra time praying for all the major things going on in the world that affect so many people. If it’s the flooding in Germany, the Afghanistan situation or the drought in different parts of the world that affects many. Often its hard for us to make a physical difference at the affected location since its often far away. But through prayer and giving we can stand with the people there even if they are far away. Ask God this week what your role is in bringing change into places of struggle in this world and how you can make a difference from where you are!! Let God guide you in that!!

Also along with the story of Ruth ask yourself where did God call you to? It doesn’t matter where, just follow him and trust that he will provide for you!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Ruth

I love the book of Ruth. Its such a beautiful story of Redemption. This is a short video blog on it and I hope it and you reading it inspires you!

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful summer week!!

During the last week we could again connect with many neighbors just by taking Caleb outside in his stroller. Its so easy in the summer month to get connected with others we have to just be intentional about it. This week we also set some extra time aside to pray for our neighborhood by walking our streets. God showed us during those times so many things to pray for. Plan this week a little walk around your neighborhood to pray for your community and also connect with people. You might not feel like doing it, but let me tell you its gonna be a blessing for you and your community and make a difference.

Also let God encourage you through the book of Ruth when you read it! Its a short read!!

God bless you
