From Passive Observer to Active Participant

Today’s video is about Community and how to change from a passive Observer to be an active Participant! You can find the bible passage I mentioned for today’s video in Philippians 4.10-14.

Hello our friend

We hope you are having a wonderful summer!! Our family is visiting Pennsylvania to see our family, friends and supporters there. After that we are adding a vacation. So for the month of July there wont be weekly updates, but you will still get a weekly video to challenge and encourage you here on the blog!

We also have this prayer request for our time away: Our last season has been really busy and all of us are pretty tired. If you could pray for a time of good rest and refreshment for us during our time away. Thank you so much!!

Also a reminder from the video: If you feel like you are passive in your community start looking into ways on becoming more active!! It will be a blessing for you as well as the community you are part of!!

God bless you

We hope you have been inspired by Mary Slessor’s story. She didn’t have an easy childhood, but she didn’t let everything that happened in her life hold her back from following God’s plan for her life and seeing how He worked through her. She didn’t remain a victim but an overcomer through Jesus. If you have things in your past that always make you feel like you can only be a victim, I want to encourage you to ask God to bring you healing. Have people you trust pray for you and be encouraged by counseling. Don’t let your past hold you back from the things God has for your life and move forward with Him victoriously!!

Have a blessed week

What to do when anxiousness knocks at the door?

Today’s video is about what to do when anxiousness knocks at the door! Find the Bible passage for today’s video in Philippians 4.6-7.

Hello our friend

We hope you had a great week!

In our 5th love your neighbor class during the weekend we talked about hospitality and how there are so many wonderful things happening when you do that. Just to name one is that it brings people together and can build friendships between them and not just with the host. Think about how you can make hospitality a regular part of your life. Maybe host a BBQ during the summer month,  start a regular monthly brunch, have a monthly game or movie night or have neighbors over for a monthly coffee and desert time. Be the neighbor who brings the  neighborhood together through hospitality!!

Don’t forget the homework from the video!! When fear knocks, pray and put the situation in God’s hands. Remember and thank God for how he has often brought you through situations. Then experience how his peace fills you.

God bless you

Gospel Carriers: Lottie Moon

This weeks Gospel Carrier is a Lady who to this day has an impact on world mission. Be encouraged and inspired by her. If you want to read more of her story the book Christian Heros then and now Lottie Moon Giving her all for China on under this link is great .

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!!

On Fridays Jen is helping with different projects of the work and I am out with Caleb. We got to go to a little park in Chinatown. It was so great to see how Caleb connected with the different kids and played with them even they did not understand each other language wise. I also got to connect with parents that took their kids to the park who spoke only a little bit of English. It didn’t matter if it was just a few words spoken God used those to encourage. You might have people in your area that might not speak your language or just a little bit, but don’t let that hinder you to connect with them! Use whatever way you can to connect and communicate and show love.

We also hope you got inspired by Lottie Moon. We want to encourage you to pray about how, where and who you can sacrificially support in world mission?

Have a blessed week

Todays video is about introductions. Find out what this is about and be inspired and encouraged!

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week.

I cant believe that we are already in the 4th session for the love your neighbor class. Time flies so fast. We are excited to see how the participants apply the things from the class into their communities. Let us know if you would be interested in joining a workshop or class in the near future or if you would like to organize a group of people who want to make a difference in their communities to have us do a class with! We do them in person as well as on zoom. Let us know!!!

Also don’t forget to introduce 2 of your friends to Jesus over the next few months!

God bless you
