Our week in San Francisco was great! During the weekend our neighborhood north beach had many visitors through the north beach fair which was awesome. Jen helped out at a booth for a neighborhood organization and could connect through that with many people. Did you get our newest Newsletter update last week! If you didn’t, send us an email so we can add you to the list!! We also started to get ready for the start of the new year with love your neighbor tips. If you haven’t joined in before join this time. It will start july 3rd. Every week we will post a 1 minute video on how to get started in loving your neighbor and building community where you are at. And doing things together is always better so once a month we will hold a live zoom call which we call love your neighbor conversation. During this time we’ll talk some more about the topics of the month. This will be a place to learn from each other, ask questions, share ideas and get encouraged.  We’ll post the monthly link for the zoom meetup so make sure to join! To get the videos and dates for the love your neighbor conversations follow us on the love your neighbor group on Facebook/ Instagram or join us directly on the Love Your Neighbor Network (its free).

Spend some time this week to read Ecclesiastes and while doing that ask yourself what areas in your life stuck out to you in hopes to find fulfillment? Where are you still looking for fullfilment outside of Go? Start refocusing those areas back on God!

Wie war deine Woche? Schick uns ein Update

Unsere Woche in San Francisco war toll! Während des Wochenendes war in unserer Wohngegend das North Beach North Beach Fair was viele Besucher brachte. Jen half an einem Stand für eine Nachbarschaftsorganisation aus und konnte dadurch mit vielen Menschen in Kontakt kommen. Hast du letzte Woche unseren neuesten Newsletter/ Rundbrief bekommen? Falls nicht schick uns eine E-Mail das wir dich auf die Update Liste aufnehmen können. Wir haben auch begonnen alles für ein neues Jahr mit den wöchentlichen Liebe-dein-Nachbar-Tipps vorzubereiten. Wenn du noch nicht mitgemacht hast, sei dieses Jahr dabei. Los geht es am 3. Juli. Jede Woche veröffentlichen wir ein 1-minütiges Video darüber, wie du beginnen kannst, deinen nachbarn zu lieben und Gemeinschaft in deiner Wohngegend aufzubauen. Und Dinge zusammen zu tun ist immer besser, deshalb werden wir einmal im Monat einen Live-Zoom-Call haben, den wir Liebe-deinen-Nachbarn-Gespräch nennen. In dieser Zeit sprechen wir etwas mehr über die Themen des Monats. Dies wird ein Platz sein, um voneinander zu lernen, Fragen zu stellen, Ideen auszutauschen und sich gegenseitig zu ermutigen. Wir werden den monatlichen Link für das Zoom-Meetup veröffentlichen, also mach mit! [:en]Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to help an older neighbor with their backyard! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Getting away to rest – even for a short time and a regular weekly day of rest is so important for all of us. I love how it talks many times in scripture how Jesus went away to rest. Rest is an important thing and God set it in place from the beginning of everything when he rested on the 7th day. Our family got to spend a few days this week away from the city in Santa Rosa. Our YWAM friends there had a church open up an apartment for them for missionaries to use to rest. It was such a wonderful time. We got to swim in a lake, hike in a local park, sit in the backyard to read and had some wonderful food including a breakfast at a local American/Mexican diner. We all feel so refreshed and strengthened from that time away from the city. We want to encourage you to put in your schedule times of rest and times of being away. And don’t let money hold you away from it either, there are many ways to get away really cheap! If you need some ideas about that email me!!

Also don’t forget to do the monthyl love your neighbor tip, and offer an older neighbor your help with work in the backyard!

 [:de]Wieso ist es wichtig?

Als Jesus uns dazu berufen hat unseren Nächsten (Nachbarn) zu lieben, gab er uns eine Aufgabe die für jeden von uns möglich ist und gleichzeitig auch ein Segen für uns ist. Viele Menschen in unserem Umfeld fühlen sich oftmals einsam oder haben nicht das Gefühl das sie dazugehören (vielleicht fühlen wir uns auch selber manchmal so) und jeder von uns kann Veränderung in diesem Bereich bringen. Du wirst sehen wie sich diese Dinge und die Beziehungen mit Nachbarn verändern, wenn wir sie lieben, und wie auch wir selber eine größere Liebe für unsere Nachbarn haben. Es wird einen großen Eindruck hinterlassen und eine starke Gemeinschaft aufbauen für dich und sie um nur einige Dinge zu nennen. Wenn ich zum letzten Jahr zurückdenke und wie die Corona Virus Situation jeden auf der Welt traf sah man auch mehr und mehr 1. wie wichtig es ist die Liebe Gottes auch zu unseren Wohngebieten zu bringen und 2. Wie wichtig es ist mit unseren Nachbarn verbunden zu sein. Es war eine gute Erinnerung an Jesus Auftrag speziell auch deshalb da wir nicht wirklich woanders hingehen konnten. Lasst uns dies zusammentun und Jesus Auftrag unseren Nächsten/ Nachbarn zu lieben ernst nehmen. Wir werden jeden Monat einen Tipp posten wie Beziehungen aufgebaut werden können und wie wir praktisch unsere Nachbarn lieben können. Und dann werden wir das ganze aktiv mit unseren Nachbarn leben. Dann pass auf und sehe wie sich mit der Zeit deine Wohngegend verändert! Jeder von uns kann es tun deshalb lasst uns aktiv werden, Du, ich und jeder einzelne von uns!!

Unser Tipp für diesen Monat ist hilf einem älteren Nachbarn mit der Gartenarbeit.  Schaue dir das Video mit den Tipps an.

Hallo Freunde

Urlaub, selbst für eine kurze Zeit, und ein wöchentlicher Ruhetag ist so wichtig für jeden von uns. Ich liebe es in der Bibel wie es oftmals von Jesus spricht wie er von Zeit zu Zeit wegging um sich auszuruhen. Ruhe ist eine wichtige Sache und Gott hat sie seit dem Anfang der Welt eingeführt in dem er am 7. Tage ruhte. Unsere Familie konnte letzte Woche einige Tage in Santa Rosa verbringen. Unsere YWAM Freunde dort haben von einer Gemeinde eine Wohnung zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen das sich Missionare erholen können. Wir hatten eine super Zeit. Wir schwammen in einem See, wanderten in einem Park, saßen im Garten und lasen und hatten wunderbares essen inklusive einem amerikanisch/mexikanischen Diner Frühstück. Wir kamen von dieser Zeit außerhalb der Stadt erfrischt zurück. Wir möchten auch dich ermutigen Zeit in deinen Kalender einzuplanen um Ruhe zu finden und auch in den Urlaub zu gehen. Lass dich nicht von Geld zurückhalten, es gibt viele Wege sehr billig Urlaub zu machen. Falls du einige Ideen dafür haben möchtest schreib mir eine E-Mail!!

Vergiss auch nicht die moantliche Liebe deinen Nachbarn Herausforderung; biete einem älteren Nachbarn deine Hilfe mit der Gartenarbeit an!

How was your week?

Spending time outside is not just good for your health its also a wonderful way to connect with neighbors in your neighborhood. Jen is going out with Caleb and through that connects with many Moms and nanny’s on a daily basis. After I wake up I usually walk a few laps around our block and get to connect with many of our neighbors that are either walking their dogs, are on the way to work or exercise. It’s a very simple way to connect and get to know our neighbors. Start this week to get out of your home and say hello to the ones you meet outside on your street!!

Also, be encouraged by the book of Peter and learn through his 2 letters!

Wie war deine Woche?

Zeit im Freien zu verbringen ist nicht nur gut für deine Gesundheit, sondern auch eine wunderbare Möglichkeit, mit Nachbarn im Wohngebiet in Kontakt zu kommen. Jen geht mit Caleb täglich zu einem lokalen Park und kommt dadurch mit vielen Müttern und Nannys in Kontakt. Morgens laufe ich normalerweise ein paar Runden um unseren Block herum und komme mit vielen unserer Nachbarn in Kontakt. Sie sind entweder mit ihren Hunden Gassi gehen, auf dem Weg zur Arbeit oder sind sportlich aktiv. Ein einfaches Hallo macht bereits einen großen Unterschied! Es ist eine sehr einfache Möglichkeit, Kontakte zu knüpfen und unsere Nachbarn kennenzulernen. Beginne diese Woche damit nach draußen zu gehen und die Nachbarn die dort findest zu grüßen und ein Gespräch zu starten!

Verbringe diese Woche auch Zeit um von Petrus dem Freund Jesus zu lernen indem du seine 2 Briefe liest!

How was your week? Send us an update!!

What a great time we had all week with amazing people. After almost 3 years we got to see a family who are friends of ours. Caleb got to play with there kids and we got to catch up in the park. We don’t take times like that for granted and see each of them as a special blessing. We also got to welcome a new neighbor who just moved on our hill which was a blessing. Its so important to welcome new neighbors into our communities. It makes people wanted and cherished which is so important. We also got to help a few others in practical ways this week and had a wonderful dinner with a neighbor friend. We also worked on a promo video for the start of the new year in the love your neighbor series!! Wie war Eure Woche? Sendet uns ein Update!!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche mit wunderbaren Menschen. Nach beinahe 3 Jahren sahen wir eine befreundete Familie wieder. Caleb konnte mit ihren Kindern spielen und wir konnten uns miteinander unterhalten. Wir nehmen solchen Zeiten nicht als selbstverständlich hin sondern sehen jede von ihnen als einen wahren Segen. Wir durften auch einen neuen Nachbarn begrüßen, der gerade auf unseren Hügel gezogen ist, was ein Segen war. Es ist so wichtig, neue Nachbarn in unseren Wohngebieten willkommen zu heißen. Es zeigt Menschen das sie geschaetzt sind und das wir uns freuen das sie da sind. Wir durften diese Woche auch einigen anderen auf praktische Weise helfen und hatten ein wunderbares Abendessen mit einem befreundeten Nachbarn. Wir haben auch an einem Promo-Video für den den neuen Start der Love your Neighbor Tips  gearbeitet!! One of my highlights this week was to prayer walk together with our church. We walked and prayed together for our Neighborhood. When you do it together it builds courage and as well as you get a better inside into the neighborhood since more then 2 ears are listening to God. If the weather is good talk to a friend from church and go for a prayer walk together!!

Also dont forget to read  the book of James and with that his life message. After reading it ask yourself what is your life message? When you know it then ask yourself how to share it with others and also teach them in it?

 [:de]In der heutigen Geschichte geht es um einen Mann mit dem Namen Jakobus und seine Lebensnachricht. Wenn du mehr über seine Nachricht herausfinden möchtest lese den Jakobus Brief.

Hallo unser Freund/in

Eines meiner Highlights dieser Woche war ein Gebetsmarsch zusammen mit unserer Gemeinde. Wir spazierten durch unser WOhngebiet und beteten zusammen. Wenn man dies zusammen tut baut es Mut auf und du bekommst einen besseren Einblick in das Wohngebiet da dann mehr wie 2 Ohren auf Gott hoeren! Wenn das Wetter diese Woche gut ist nimm doch jemanden von deiner Gemeinde mit und geht zusammen auf einen Gebetsmarsch!

Vergesst auch nicht den Jakobus Brief zu lesen und damit seine Lebens Nachricht. Stell dir die Frage: Was ist deine Lebens Nachricht? Wenn du das weist dann frage dich wie bringe ich sie zu anderen und lehre sie darin?
