Hello our friend

We hope you are doing great!

Wow what a week!! We had so many times to connect with our communities. Monday we had a big labor day bbq which was a lot of fun. Our apartment was full of neighbors and joy. It was so great seeing how everybody had such a wonderful time connecting with each other and also some to meet each other for the first time. Later in the week we had another event in which we just participated. It was a dinner from Calebs school. It was put on so parents could get to know each other more. We got to interact and get to know different parents. It was wonderful. Doing things that bring people together is really important to build community. We want to encourage you to brainstorm how you can create a place where people can connect with each other and through that create more community where you are!!

A little action step at the end:
As I said in the video, please ask the Holy Spirit to show you where you stand, and ask Him to help you change so that you live more like David.”

God bless you

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week and a relaxing labor day!!

Caleb had his first day of school this week. He really enjoys his school. Its wonderful too that we get in touch with so many other families when dropping Caleb off and get to know them more. The school also already had the first social event so the parents could connect even more. Its such a new and exciting season for all of us and we are excited for all the new relationships that will form! Thank you Jesus

It was also wonderful that we had friends from my hometown in Germany come for a short visit this week. Its always special seeing friends from my old home.

We hope you’ve been inspired by Amys story. Ask God if you are called to youth how you can make a difference in their lives?

Have a blessed week

Hello our friend

We hope you had a great week!

Once a year our church is hosting together with other churches a time of worship called the Sound. Its in the middle of the biggest park in the city, golden gate park right in between an art museum on the one side and a science museum on the other. Right there many Christians from the city come together and praise and worship God for 4 hours. It’s an amazing time. There is something so special when believers come together united with one heart to worship God. Maybe think about if that would be something that you could do in your area. Think about an area where you could do something like that in your town and then chat with different churches and ask them to join. Each church can lead a worship set and each church can help take on part of the planning. It will not just have the opportunity to bring churches together but it will also show others what Jesus was saying: By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13.35. If you feel God nudging you to do this when you read this, start praying and planning!!

At the end a few things to take away from Johua about leadership: As a leader don’t forget to get into his word and think about it all the time. Also always spend time with him and let him fill you. And be strong and courageous and trust that he is with you. Always look at him and let him lead you.

God bless you

Hi our friend

We hope you had a wonderful week!!

Over this last season I was walking along with someone on their journey in loving their neighbor. Through monthly meetups I was able to listen, give feedback, encourage and give advice. Its exciting to see how God is using him in his own community. If you know of people who would love to get more involved in their community by loving their neighbors but would love to learn more on how sent them our way! Just ask them to email us!

We hope you’ve been inspired by Wilfreds story. Ask God what the needs are in a community and place he called you to and how you can help!

Have a blessed week

Learning from Leaders: Moses

Today’s video is about a man that got freed from 2 blindnesses! You can find the bible passage I mentioned for today’s video in John 9. Be encouraged

Hello our friend

We hope you had a great week!

One of our neighbor friends recently had to be in the hospital. When we found out we went to visit. It brought joy to us because we got to see our friend but it also brought joy to our friend since it is nice to see familiar faces and have time together in a environment that is not the easiest. We got to encourage and pray for our friend. We want to encourage you to visit someone maybe not in the hospital but maybe someone who doesn’t get much visitors. You will see how it will be a blessing to them as well as to you and trust me it brings joy to Jesus’s heart too!!

Also a reminder from the video: If we need healing in our body lets ask Jesus first since he knows our body best. Also le us go to him to show us areas of blindness in spiritual areas and let him open our eyes there too.

God bless you
