Stories to think about – Job and his strong relationship with God

Our story today is about Job and his strong relationship with God. May his relationship inspire you!

Hi our friend

How was your week?

This week was wonderful for us. We had so many times with different people and also got to have a neighbor friend over for dinner which was really awesome. On Sunday we have a birthday celebration for Calebs 1st birthday in our local park. Neighbors, friends from church and YWAM friends are coming. One of our friends who is a singer will sing a song for him and another friend will read a poem he wrote for him. Its so awesome to see all of our friends from our different communities come together to show their love by celebrating Caleb. I say this a lot but true community is something all of us need!! Most of the times it will not just come to you. It takes an effort to build it. But let me tell you when you have it you never want to miss it!! Start today by loving your neighbor!

Also ask yourself the question, based on our story of Job, how is my relationship with God? Is there anything between you and him that holds you away from trusting and new depth? Pray about it and ask God to heal those areas!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Job

Job is a book many people try to skip since it could sound depressing. But the book is not depressing when you look deeper into it. Instead it gives you a view of an inspiring man. Let this video blog give you a short intro into it and let it encourage you.

Hi our friend

How was your week?

Connection is so important for each one of us and this week we had many of those. If it was through 2 board meetings, having dinner with a neighbor, connecting with Moms and Nannies in the park or going on a prayer walk together with our church all of them connected us with different people. It was a blessing and encouragement to spend time with each of them. We also spent time to pray for the situation in Ukraine. All the things happening in the world can be overwhelming, but remember in the most overwhelming time in the garden before he went to the cross Jesus spend time with his father. It is so important to spend time with our Father in Heaven and let him fill us with peace. Make sure to spend time with Him!

When you read the story of Job in our journey through the bible, it showed us that his foundation is built on God and nothing else even in the hardest time. Can we say that about our relationship with God too? Let us think about that!

Have a blessed week and remember that you are amazing and loved.

Here is the Love your neighbor monthly tip – Offer to help carry groceries in

Why is it important?

When Jesus called us to love our neighbor, he gave us a task that is possible for each one of us and is also a blessing for each one of us. Many people around us might feel isolated or don’t feel a sense of belonging (maybe including us), and each one of us can bring change to that. You will see how loving your neighbor will change those things and also the relationships but also how it will give you a greater love for the people around you. It will leave a great impact and it builds a strong and lasting community for your neighbors and you as well to just name a few things. When I think back to last year and how the pandemic affected everyone around the world we saw more and more 1. the need of bringing God’s love to our local places and 2. How important it is to be connected with our neighbors. We got reminded of the call from Jesus also because our neighborhoods were the only places we could go to. So let’s all do this together starting today to take Jesus seriously and love our neighbor. We will give you a monthly tip with how to establish that relationship and love your neighbors in a practical way and then we will all put it into action with the neighbors right around us.  And then watch how over time your neighborhood will change! You, me, and all of us can do it so let’s do it!!

Our tip for this month is to offer a neighbor to help carry the groceries in! Watch the video with some tips on that!

Hi our friend

It was so wonderful to spend time with our YWAM Community during our twice a year Review and Eval last week. Having time with them and get new perspective and encouragement is such a blessing. We all need a community like that. We want to encourage you to find a community that encourages you and helps you grow. Outside of that special time we had a pretty usual week.

How was your week?

We also want to keep encouraging you to keep praying with us for the things going on in the world. Let us all make a difference in small things like with the monthly love your neighbor tip to carry a neighbors groceries inside for them. Small things like these change our neighborhoods and if we all do them those small things will change the world!

God bless you

A journey through the bible the book of Philemon

In that letter, Paul challenges the thinking about cultural norms at the time. Let it inspire your thinking too!!

Hi our friend

Our last week was a week of teaching, preparation, encouragement and prayer. On Sunday I was speaking at our church about Loving your neighbor. It was encouraging to hear back from people how they felt encouraged and challenged. Then we started to prep more for the upcoming workshop on March 12th. If you are free we would love for your to join! It will be held on zoom from 10am to 1pm pst. Click here to get to the registration page. During our week we were also able to encourage different people in our community which was a real blessing. But prayer still had a major role this week. Staying connected with the father and hearing his heart is so important especially in this season. We want to encourage you to first of all connect with Father God on a personal level and let him speak and encourage you. Then spend time in Prayer this week for all the things going on in the world on a bigger scale, but also for your neighborhood and neighbors!!

Also spend time to read the book of Philemon and let it inspire your thinking!

God bless you
